Due to sharply increased freight rates to Canada over the last couple of years we could no longer continue to offer free shipping to our Canadian customers. After paying the freight to Canada we were actually losing money on many of our sales. We are sorry for this change in policy but to remain a viable packaging supplier we had no choice. If you sign up for our email newsletter you will see discount offers to our Canadian customers from time to time to help out with the freight charges. You ordered on Saturday Jan 31st and due to an ice storm we could not get your package out on Monday as we had to open late. However we did ship on Tuesday Feb 3rd. UPS delivery to your area of California is 5 business days and that is when you received your package, on Feb 10th. If we had known you needed the order rushed we most probably could have shipped through another carrier or through a faster service.

Brenda, Fetpak's freight policy is as follows: Free Shipping on Orders Over $75 and totals below that have a Flat Rate Shipping of $7.95 in the Contiguous US and All of Canada. We are a wholesaler of packaging supplies. Most wholesalers have minimum orders, many times as high as $100 to $300. However Fetpak has no minimum and as a courtesy we process orders such as yours, which was $8.95. We certainly do not make money on small orders such as yours, even with the few extra dollars from shipping. The idea is that sometimes small customers become large customers and so we cater to all. Besides that is only fair to the customer. As for packaging, remember you purchased needles for a Tagging Gun. These cannot just be "placed in a regular envelope". Needles need to be securely wrapped in bubble so they do not break open during transport and injure someone. We spend extra on packaging materials to insure no one gets injured and that your product arrives safety. Of course we would like you to continue purchasing from Fetpak, hopefully you give us another try. Thank you.

Fetpak packs orders the most economical way. With your order it was to strap cartons together as the cartons. The price difference by us strapping cartons vs sending loose was $20. As I'm sure you know, our margins are thin and so we need to keep our freight costs low. Remember we pay 100% of the shipping cost, including fuel and residential surcharges. We will credit your account if there was any damage to the merchandise you ordered. Just let us know and we will pick up the damaged boxes. Fetpak ships out most orders the same day if the order is received by 1:00 PM Eastern Time. We ship from our warehouse in New York. Since you are located in Idaho the transit time is five to six business days via UPS. On your last order we shipped out on Sept 30th, but there were transit delays beyond our control as per UPS tracking: 1) 10/02/14 at 6:00 AM...In Hodgkins, IL...A late UPS trailer arrival has caused a delay. 2) 10/07/14 at 11:04 AM...McCall, ID...Attempted delivery, left notice with instructions. We apologize for the delay in transit. Hopefully you should receive your package tomorrow, please see instructions left. We checked your three previous orders and in all cases we shipped out your order the same day we received it. Also, I'm sure you know Fetpak has Free Shipping on orders over $100, which most of your orders are. If under $100 we have a flat rate fee of $7. We don't charge shipping. We tracked your order and see that it was delivered today, Sept 22nd at 12:45 PM. Your order shipped via UPS/Ground from our warehouse in New York. You placed your order on Sunday Sept 14th and we shipped out on Monday, Sept 15th. This comes to five business days which is the delivery time for UPS to deliver from New York to Idaho. At Fetpak most orders are shipped the same day received if ordered before 1:00 PM ET. This of course applies to business days. In the future if you need faster air service let us know as we can do that too. However unlike our Free Shipping with ground service, air is an extra charge. Thank you.

First, thank you for being such a good customer over the years, we really appreciate that. Second, the recommendation to look online for a source is certainly not acceptable. We apologize for that. Be assured that this has been discussed thoroughly with that employee. Third, most of Fetpak orders arrive by the container or trailer load. These shipments can be upwards of 4,000 cartons. While we do spot checks on every shipment, we do not open every carton. Occasionally slight changes in packaging by the manufacture, which was the issue in your case, can be overlooked. As per email to you from our Director of Operations, Tim Kennedy, some of our manufacturers are very large companies and although we try, it's not easy for us to specify the exact packaging we prefer. Other times we can and do control the manufacturer, so it all depends. Andres, we hope you continue to trust Fetpak as your supplier. Although mistakes occasionally do happen, please be assured we are always trying to earn your business. Thank you.
