Slow Shipping and an Unnecessarily Complicated Autoship Process
Shipping is advertised as taking 1–3 days, yet my order is taking 10 days to arrive. I placed my order on September 29, and it is not scheduled to arrive until October 8. That is a significant delay when ordering prescription food for my cats. I initially ordered the smaller bag on autoship to see how my cats liked the food before upgrading to a larger bag. Unfortunately, I discovered that switching to a larger bag requires canceling my existing autoship and obtaining a new prescription from my vet just to order the same food in a different size. In my opinion, the prescription should be tied to the food itself rather than the specific bag size. Requiring an entirely new prescription for a different quantity seems unnecessarily complicated and creates additional work for both the customer and the veterinarian. Because I have two cats eating the same food, I needed to make sure I had enough to keep up with their food supply. I placed this order before my scheduled autoship date specifically to get the food sooner, expecting the advertised 1–3-day shipping timeframe. Despite planning ahead and ordering early, I am still waiting 10 days for the food to arrive. This defeats the purpose of ordering ahead to avoid running out of my cats' prescription food. Now, in addition to the shipping delay, I have to go through the entire prescription approval process with my vet again, simply because I want to purchase a larger bag of the same food. I expected Fetch Rx to make managing my cats' prescription food more convenient, but the extended shipping time and inflexible ordering process have made the experience unnecessarily frustrating.

Hi Natalie, we understand how important it is to receive your cats' prescription food on time, especially when you're planning ahead to ensure they have a consistent supply. To provide some clarity, your order shipped on October 1 but experienced a longer-than-expected transit time with FedEx, resulting in delivery on October 8. Regarding your Autoship, because your existing prescription allows for unlimited refills, a new prescription is not required to switch from the 4 lb bag to the 8 lb bag. We also confirmed that your new Autoship for the larger bag has been established and the previous subscription has been suspended. We've attempted to reach you to discuss your experience. We appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention and would welcome the opportunity to speak with you directly. Please give us a call at 877-299-0893 at your convenience so we can review the shipping delay and address any remaining questions.
