with fastest vpn ( paid service ) i get 5.19 MBPS with proton free service i get 17.7 MBPS ! thats astonishing ! how can they justify such 2003 level of MBPS

Don't understand how this VPN gets 5 star reviews, I like others purchased the lifetime subscription years ago and recently received an e-mail to upgrade my subscription I only bought this VPN as an alternative to another lifetime subscription from another provider that I purchased years ago & who thankfully so far have honoured the lifetime subscription, I went on fastestVPN straight away & could not even connect, everything I tried & all the links i clicked on just came up with an error, cannot connect! It was obvious I was blocked from using the App as everything else worked fine including other VPNs, undeterred I rang the helpline and was put through the usual rigmarole of do this & do that, try this, try that untill after a few days of emailing, I said you have blocked me, to which the helpline operator said,we don't do that. I decided then to cut my losses & put it down to a bad experience as I was getting nowhere. Please don't give the preplanned/preprinted reply you have left for other previous lifetime subscriber's. Goodbye fastestVPN, I wish I could say it has been a pleasure.

Fast forward to 2023, and I find that they have unilaterally restricted access to essential features like the WireGuard protocol, specific streaming servers, P2P, and D-VPN. Their justification? Changes were made post-2022, and now, their earliest and most loyal customers are being penalized. We're being asked to pay additional fees for a "Pro Version" to regain access to features we originally paid for. This not only feels like a breach of trust but also a breach of our original contractual agreement. While they might see their offer of a Pro Lifetime for an additional $20 or a Monthly Pro for $2 as a concession, I view it as an unwarranted financial imposition. The introduction of a two-tier system further diminishes the value of the original lifetime license. I am profoundly disappointed with FastestVPN. They have not only compromised the trust of their long-standing customers but have also shown a lack of integrity in upholding their end of the agreement. I urge potential customers to think twice before committing to their services. The term "lifetime" does not come with an asterisk that allows you to redefine its meaning at your convenience. Restriction of Features: You claim you haven't restricted any "old features and country servers." However, the WireGuard protocol, certain streaming servers, P2P, and D-VPN were all part of the package when I made my purchase. By restricting access to these features now, you are effectively altering our original agreement. Penalizing Loyal Customers: Your decision to impose additional costs on those who purchased subscriptions before July 2022 is not only discriminatory but also a slap in the face to your most loyal customers. We supported your business when we chose the lifetime license, and now we're being asked to pay more for features we were initially promised. Financial Imposition: The introduction of a "Pro Version" with additional costs, whether it's $20 for a lifetime or $2 monthly, is an unexpected and unwarranted financial burden. I ordered a sub on 22nd September but immediately realised I didn’t need it as I had another account elsewhere. I contacted the customer service team to request a cancellation and refund which they said they’d do within 3 days. I chased up again on 26th but again was told it would be another 3 days. Chased again on the 3rd October and got a reply to say they’d sort it. Now it’s the 6th and no refund. Proceed with care with these people as they seem to like stringing people along and not doing what they say they will do. Update 06/10: A few hours after posting this review the refund was processed… Update 20/01: Despite the fact my review states the issue was resolved fastestvpn are asking for my order number so they can resolve (otherwise my review will be taken down within 3 days). Maybe this is a deliberate tactic to get bad reviews removed. Update 23/01: Someone from fastest vpn called Chuck Rivers is bombarding me with messages asking me to change my review. The review is fully up to date and accurate already. No updates are required.

Contacted fastestvpn about issues loading, not happy with the speeds either, asked for my guaranteed money back within 15 days, this was within 24 hours, they will not refund me, just keep asking questions about what's the issue, I would never buy again!!! After posting on here, they say they have issued a refund, not yet received, I will update if it appears.

FastestVPN is an entirely useless vpn. I have been using it for the last 12 to 13 months. I am disappointed by this. I waste 1 hour every day trying to connect to the fastest server. Its software hangs whenever I try to connect to the server. Sometimes, I get only 1-5 Mbps speed though I use 200 Mbps internet. I have also tried its Chrome extension. Everything sucks. Totally waste of money. I had bought its lifetime plan, but now I think I made a mistake. I am now considering getting a VPN from another company so I don't have to waste my time on this daily.

Bought a “life time” subscription but the company has now limited access to my so called life time subscription by introducing new restrictions. Now my paid subscription is totally unusable. Avoid this company like the plague. Your subscription will work for a while but be warned, they will start internet restrictions gradually and before you know it, you will have to pay a fortune to “subscribe” to a newer expensive plan to use any of their service, despite your purchase of a so called life time plan. This company IS a FRAUD. Update Jan 2024: This company is definitely dodgy. The company is requesting an order number for this lifetime plan, which I purchased three years ago - does anyone really keep the old emails that long?? This is clearly an attempt by this low ball company to have negative reviews removed from Trustpilot by claiming that this review is fake. This is not. TAKE MY WORD, DO NOT EVEN THINK OF PAYING FOR THEIR SERVICE.

Their VPN app most of the times doesn't work on the Windows 11 x64 platforms. Needed to install an age old version to workaround but even that doesn't work effectively. Connection to VPN Servers is even more horrible. It's simply a waste of time and money.
