PLEASE do not traust Farescan! We booked, received a confirmation, received an e-ticket, Farescan took our money for a New zealand flight. All seems ok right? FALSE! In new Zealand at the check in counter we want to check in and got to know that nothignghas been booked. We called and the "customer servcie" told us that our booking had been canceled due to "issues with our credit card" and we have received emails (we did not!!). Our money to farescan is gone, we had to book an expensive flight (4X more the actual price) to get out of the country!!! They advised us to write to the "upper management" and since then we only get relies "we are working on it". You will not get you money back so please stay away! I hope this helps some people!

this website is a liar website. I booked the ticket with them for the date Dec 27th. But w/o notifying me, they changed the flight to Dec 29th. I have downloaded the confirmation from them and their employee even dare NOT to receive it for checking. SUCH A LIAR WEBSITE. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM IT!!!!

WORST travel agent ever!!!!! DONT EVER GO THROUGH THEM!!! They didn’t put our last and first names correctly in the booking and screwed up our entire flight.Their only stupid suggestion was to cancel the whole flight and rebook it at the triple the cost. They don’t deserve to be operating in this space!!!! Never had an experience like this before.

Don't use farescan website for booking your flight tickets. It's been more than 15 days still I'm waiting for a refund promises by farescan customer representative. Totally unprofessional company.

OMG - I read so many of the reviews here and I have similar issues. I got an email confirmation of my purchase (within 5 minutes), but then no ticket was being issued one hour after. They called me about 15 minutes after my internet purchase and asked me to confirm my last name and the last 4 digits of my credit card and told me that they were now proceeding with the purchase. After 1 hour, I called them back inquiring about my ticket as none had been received at my email address; I was told that the ticket price could not be honored and that the transaction had been cancelled. I asked if I would receive an email confirmation of the cancellation; I was told that I would within 2 to 4 hours. Now I am waiting to see if I'll get this email cancellation confirmation. Really sketchy. Felling very bad about the experience; and now I do not want to buy a new ticket from a different provider as I want to make sure they really do not bill my credit card and I want to wait until I receive an official email cancellation. I am now in limbo until I am sure I have a cancellation. I wish Kayak didn't have "FareScan" as a ticket provider. For many years now, Kayak has been my place of choice for looking at ticket price; I hope they will soon stop having "FareScan" link on their website. As far as I am concerned, Kayak will just be sullying their own business if they continue partnership with "FareScan" - UPDATE: 5 hours after my purchase, I finally received a confirmation email of the cancellation of my purchase. The email stated, in part, the following: "In this case, the airline cancelled the available seat before your card was charged because it was booked by someone else. We tried to re-book the ticket at the same price for the same itinerary but were not successful." The funny thing is that 10 hours after my initial purchase, I could still see on Kayak that FareScan has the same offer (same price) which they could not honor for me. I am sure FareScan could argue that the ticket became available again at the original price and that's why it was still displayed on Kayak. Consideration made of my overall experience with FareScan and all the delay-gap in providing updated information, I will never do business with them in the future.

This company is not worth 1 star, but I had to give them a star to write a review. I booked through this company twice as they advertised cheap airfare, just to find out that the airline automatically cancels the flight. They make it look good with an itinerary number and a booking code from the airline. I called to ask if my flight was booked just hear them say the airline cancelled the flight. I can’t believe that kayak even advertises this companies supposed cheap fares. Scammers, but wait this ain’t the only company there are others doing the same crap. Makes me think they’re just trying to get your credit card number and personal info just to sell it to some over seas dirtbag so they can steal your money!

I wish I can leave a review with no stars I bought a ticket from these guys. Then, an unprofessional employee called me and changed my booking to Expolretrip (I left them a review as well). But what she did was that she booked the second one and didn’t cancel the first one. After I was supposed to cancel the trip, I only cancelled the second trip, because a normal person wouldn’t think that a company doesn’t know that they should cancel the first booking before issuing the second one. Later, after I figured out this mess, I tried to call and get it cancelled, but they said that the policy says it can’t be cancelled after 24 hours. It’s ridiculous... I called literally for over a week and everyone would put me on hold for 10-15 minutes and then the call gets disconnected. And the staff are very unprofessional... Even emails take forever to get a response. It’s not worth the hassle... There’s a million other ways to book your flight and to avoid this headache. I ended up changing a lot of my plans to not lose the 1600$ ticket UPDATE: just noticed that you guy got straight one star reviews since November 1, impressive.

They cancelled my travel buddies booking from a month ago after claiming that I told them to on the phone (I did not) and never sent any communication to either of us that it had been cancelled. We didn’t even find out until 3 days ago when we went to pre-book our seats and I have spent the past 3 days trying to reason with them on the phone to get them to book him back on the flight and honour the same fare that they had quoted him of $1407. The first 2 agents who listened to the phone recordings assured me that I did not ask them to cancel and that they were escalating the issue, only for them to “change their minds” (really, save their asses) 2 days later and tell me that I did say it! Then after agreeing to send me the phone recording and never sending it, I asked for it again only for them to tell me “yeah we can’t.” COMPLETE SCAM! I spent three days of them brushing me off and telling me that they were going to call me back with a solution within ______ hours, THEY NEVER CALLED BACK!! I called them 16 times!!! Finally for all the inconvenience they offered us a “discount” of.... wait for it... FIFTY DOLLARS on the current fare of $2720. A complete joke. My travel buddy is forced to scramble to find another flight to make the trip although all the fares have increased significantly since we booked. As it is a U.S. company, I am filing a complaint with the Department of Transportation (DOT) and make sure you do the same when you have issues with travel agents so we can make sure deceitful company’s like these are not allowed to stay in business and continue to scam customers. Save your sanity and your wallet and DO NOT BOOK FARESCAN. Tell every traveller you know to do the same.
