DO NOT USE. If you can't resist, do NOT buy anything like the flexible ticket option or insurance. Total scam. They claim you'll only have to pay the fare difference but then quote you an absurd fare difference, even where the ticket is obviously available at the same fare you purchased. Impossible customer service. Stay away.

Somebody wrote that this company is a US based but its customer service has been outsourced to India. Wrong. The company is India-based and uses a US address to look more credible. Their website states "FareScan is one of the fast growing & profitable travel company in North America" but this is misleading. Farescan is an indian company, a twin sister of ExploreTrip - another indian company that uses a US address and earned one star here. Just compare their websites. Their customer service is below any standard. If they owe you a refund - chances are 99% you'll never get it.

This is the most difficult company I have ever worked with. Their customer service is horrible and they refuse to refund a ticket even though the cruise line says it is refundable and I purchased the travel insurance. Do not ever buy the travel insurance as it is completely worthless. I am a travel agent and deals with airlines all of the time and they are beyond ridiculous. I even tried to upgrade the ticket to premium economy which I could do with the cruise line for $600.00 per person and they would do it for $3900.00 total. Are you kidding me??? Never ever will I deal with this company again. I have made sure with both airlines that I am flying that I do actually have tickets.

I tried to purchase a flight and received an on-screen message that stated the transaction was declined. This was on a Friday, shortly before I had to leave, and after I had purchased four other flights. I thought my card had been flagged since the flights and hotels I was booking were in a couple of different countries. Upon getting into work that following Monday, I proceed to purchase a flight for the same airline. Figured everything was okay. A few weeks later I was reviewing my corporate card when I saw two charges for that airline as well as an additional charge from Farescan. Long story short, Farescan and the airline would not refund my purchase because I have no proof that I didn't purchase the flight. From now on, whenever I have a transcation declined I will take a screenshot. I highly DO NOT recommend using this company. They are scandouls and frauds.

I bought the ticket on farescan. The next day called me to choose a seat. This was an extra charge. The second thing was that I changed the departure date. They charged twice from my credit card, and they were charged by different airlines. , I tried to call them to cancel, they pushed to other departments, could not solve the problem Don't trust farescan. Don't go with them

I had similar situation. I paid for a flight and received a phone call next day for more money to select for my seats! I told them I want to cancel the tickets they said that it Is more than 24 h and I am going to loose money so I did not have other options than pay the extra money to confirm my ticket! Please be very careful. Don’t trust them.

Giving it a one star just because i cant go lower. Their customer reps lack basic sense of communication. I needed to cancel a reservation withing 24 hours and they wouldnt refund me the entire amount even if the airline honours a 24 hour full refund. Their rep (named Rocky) tells me to call up the airline and put a note on the ticket saying I am eligible for a refund (who does that?). I call up the airline (Porter), they say I am eligible for a refund and that they have added a note(although Farescan cannot refer to their systems so not sure how that helps). Still they dont honor me a full refund. Stay away from them. They are scammers and should you book through them, be sure that your money has gone down the drain.
