Such terrible customer experience. They pressured me to accepting a $75 cancellation fee when airlines have clearly stated free cancellation due to coronavirus. Will never ever use this scam website ever again

These guys are scam artists. I called because my flight was canceled. They didnt even tell me. I found out by calling the airline. I would never have known if I didnt call. I called farescan and they didnt offer to change my flight. They pressured me into canceling my flight for a refund minus $150 in fees!!! I had just gotten off the phone with the airline. They said that the booking company is receiving a full refund of what I paid. But they are trying to take a bad situation and turning it into a payday for them!!!! They are probably rejoicing at all the cancellations and all the $$$ they are lining their pockets with. This company is shady as hell. Buy your tickets directly from the airline. Or use a reputable booking company! Dont use FARESCAM!!!!!!

I bought ticket to china but airline cancelled my flight due to Coronavirus virus outbreak and promised a full refund, but Farescan still charge $150 processing fee. Do not buy from this company!

I just wanted to share the how the company scams its customers. After I had booked my tickets to Lima from Toronto, I receive a call from the company representative that I need to give an addition 75 dollar on each 2 seats booked on my flight. Upon further enquirer I found out it was not mandatory to go for that option however the company rep did not disclose this to me at the first instance and was pressing me to pay the additional fee. Kindly be carefully even if you have to book through this website. Would not recommend it. Please be careful. Thanks

I booked a ticket to China in Dec. 2019, the flight date is in early Apr. 2020. Because of the 2019-nCoV epidemic in China, the airline posted several news, one of them is "Airline offers free refund if the tickets have been purchased before 0:00 on January 28, 2020 and the flight departure date after January 28 (include January 28), 2020", I called airline to confirm, they said "yes, your ticket can be refund full amount anytime before the departure time". Then I called Farescan try to verify, Farescan's representative said that they will charge me $250 fee if I cancel my ticket. Then I email the screenshot of the airline news to them, but they still said "No, it will be charged $250 cancellation fee". Then I called airline again to report it, I guess the airline contacted with Farescan. After several days I called Farescan again, this time the representative was EXTREMELY MEAN to me. He said I can cancel the ticket but they will not refund $180 taxes and fees, they only refund the base fare. I talked to this representative twice about the refund, he handed up the phone in the second time, then I have no choice to call airline again, they said they will take care of my situation, I guess they contacted with Farescan, finally Farescan agreed to refund the whole amount. But I did not get the money back yet (it will take 3-8 weeks), so I cannot provide more detail information in this review as I am afraid if farescan saw my review, they will not refund to me. I booked the ticket from Farescan through Kayak website, farescan's airfare was cheaper than airline website, but Farescan charged seats assignment fee, so end it up, it was not much difference at all. Plus their service is the worst I ever had. Actually I was just try to verify with Farescan that I can get fully amount refund if the epidemic is getting worse in April at beginning. But they made the simple thing complicated plus their worse service made me decided to cancel my ticket with them. I will never ever book ticket with them at all.

Saving a few dollars is NOT WORTHWHILE to use this company, so please refrain yourself from buying any ticket from FareScan. I bought 2 tickets China Eastern from LA to Seoul via Shanghai in March 2020, but due to CoronaVirus I request refund, knowing China Eastern would provide full refund. I paid $754.50 for 2 tickets but they only plan to refund me $604.50. The difference of $150 is due to some obscure "non-refundable" tax they have to pay which I never heard of. It's been 2 weeks and still not received refund yet. I called them today, and they said it would take upto 30-40 working days, which means 6 to 8 wks!!! I'm not sure even that is guaranteed. I rarely write any review unless it's positive, but I had to rate this company to avoid any further monetary damage from others.

Run away from this scammers!

Because of the corona-virus I have to cancel the flight to China, but they want to charge me $150 for the cancellation fee, when I asked why is $150? then they tried offer me $100, after 10 seconds they offer me even $75. I asked his name and he hang up on me. I wish I can give zero star for this company. Stay away from this company.
