I bought a ticket in March 2020 for my family of 3 on Turkish Airlines through Farescan. After the Coronavirus made the airline cancel flights I tried to get in touch with Farescan to get a refund at which point they sent me to one of their webpages that stated that Turkish Airlines was not refunding anyone, only free rebooking. I called Turkish Airlines and they told me that I am entitled to a full refund since my flight was cancelled by them. I emailed then called Farescan to tell them this and after they denied for a while my refund because "Turkish Airlines" did not allow them, they eventually admitted I should get a refund but they asked me for an additional fee of 75 USD/person. The person on the phone put me on hold after I refused and never got back to me. I called them again, this time I was presented with the same story but this time they only asked for 35 USD/person for refund. I told them no because it wasn't my fault so he asked for my phone number but he never contacted me again. Luckily I was able to cancel the payment via my credit card provider so I didn't lose money. So this is my story of how Farescan tried to hustle me. The moral is Farescan will not provide refunds!! Also, it is almost impossible to find information about them except a telephone number and an e-mail address. This should be a red flag for any client! But I did my research and here is the explanation: Farescan is a website owned by a company called Metaminds Global Solutions Inc. They have an office based out of 5806 PROSPERITY CHURCH ROAD, STE A2-127, CHARLOTTE, North Carolina, United States so they can operate as a more legitimate company but, are in fact, a subsidiary of Metaminds Global Solutions Inc (contact: Mr. Vikram Sekhani), located at 2Q1 A1&A2, Cyber Towers, Hitech City, Madhapur, Hyderabad, Telangana, 500003, INDIA The information is public but well hidden. So when you buy from them you will be handled by the company in India. Good luck with that. You will not get your money back and you will lose more money. A better name is FARESCAM

FareScan is the worst! I can't believe this company even still exists. Customer service is not part of their vocabulary.

Fare Scam!!! These people are bunch of thieves. It's been 83 days from the day our flight got canceled by Turkish airlines. Refund was approved by the airline more than 40 days ago after we reached out to the airline numerous times. Still no refund and no clear response from "Fare Scam" as to why they don't issue our refund. They keep saying it takes 1 or 2 cycles to give you the refund. It's already been 3 cycles and still no refund. They keep us on hold on the phone for hours every day and then they drop the call. It's been a nightmare working with them. Do yourself a favor and buy your ticket elsewhere.

Es lamentable que se aprovechen de una situación tan delicada mundialmente como lo es el covid-19 para ganar dinero. Yo compre un pasaje para viajar en abril, pero debido a esta pandemia me vi obligada a reprogramar mi vuelo por que cerraron las fronteras en mi pais. El pasaje era de mexico a cancun y en oferta lo compre por casi 90 dolares (el precio normalmente suele estar en 110 dólares). Cuando llame me dijeron que tenía que pagar 80 dolares por el cambio más 30 dólares por los impuestos, o sea 120 dólares más los 90 que ya había pagado seria 210 dólares que tendría que gastar, eso sin tomar en cuenta que el precio del pasaje en la fecha que pedía el cambio lo estaban ofreciendo por 63 dólares...¿cómo es eso posible si la misma aerolínea no estaba cobrando por cambiar de fecha? Además era algo circunstancial, de fuerza mayor. No vale la pena comprar acá. Por favor, la gente que se deja llevar por sus precios baratos, como lo hice yo, serán decepcionadas. No son muy honestos, les ruego que no compren acá.. puede que algunos no hayan tenido problemas con esta agencia, pero las posibilidades son mínimas, no te arriesgues

There name should be FareScam. The customer care representatives are insanely rude and arrogant. Our flight got cancelled because of COVID-19 travel ban crisis and are providing travel credits and refunds but when I reached out to FareScan or rather FareScam, they did not offer any refund or travel credit. Infact they are charging extra $100 for travel credit. This company is trying to take advantage of the global crisis by making money from the customers.

I am seeking a refund due to my flight being canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic. Lufthansa’s policy is that farescan and all other travel agencies may request a refund on behalf of consumers and Lufthansa will give a full refund to the travel agency which should then be returned to the customer. After six phone calls with Farescan, they have refused to give me a refund of more than 2/3 of the cost of my cancelled flight. On one call, I even connected a Lufthansa customer representative with a representative from Farescam. After she told the Farescan rep about the Lufthansa policy, he put me on hold for over one hour without explanation and after telling me he was not able to give Me a refund. This is the worst customer experience I’ve had.

On the phone with the representative right now to cancel and get a refund for my suspended flight I booked through them with Turkish airlines. At first he said I wouldn't get a refund for the suspended flight, then I had to walk him through where I found the information on Turkish airlines that states I get a refund, only then when I helped him find the information, thats when he agreed to give me a refund. He didn't want to give me the full refund, he wanted to charge me for the seats and booking charge. I was able to get him to give me the refund for the seat but he kept a $100 for the booking charge. I will not use them again. Lesson learned

They dont response, at all. Just a scam, they tell you the flight is good but when you ask for an any changes or refund they totally ghost you and basically trash the emails you send them. Never in my life I had an issue like this before with buying a ticket. Stick to the main flight sites. I've regret getting this site from kayak. They don't even tell you about the "travel agent fee" expensive 120 us dollars?? DONT GO WITH THIS COMPANY. Cant even add a reference because the reference they gave me was invalid the airlines said there was no such thing of that flight ref or pnr Update________ After weeks of waiting for them, they gave me another email to contact them (I was thinking of putting the email up but I think they just made it) talking to them for 1 day I had to give them proof the airline is refunding me to them(farescan) then once they said the refund process will happen in 4-5weeks which I am currently waiting for them to process in a week or 2 I will contact and ask them where it is on the same email.
