I was drawn to FancyLEDs after seeing videos of their sync box and the quick and accurate responses on Youtube and was pleased to find that they are literally half as expensive as the comparative Phillips product. At this cost, it's absolutely best-in-class. The setup was very simple, and the app intuitive and easy to use. Initially I couldn't figure out why the LEDs wouldn't turn off during dark scenes in Sync mode, and then I realised that the 'Ambient Mode' means the lights will return to white on that setting. The LEDs are rich and bright, and the sync box responds insanely quickly in sync mode. The only niggle I have right now, is that sometimes when watching HDR/Dolby Vision content, there are red flickers randomly. I haven't contacted support yet, but I've seen online that the support team is extremely capable and helpful so I'm reassured there at least.

Bought fancyleds 2.0 in April 26 and in July they quit working. Currently waiting for a replacement set of lights to arrive so will update this post at a later date Received the replacement lights on the 14/07/26 without taking out the box I plugged the lights in to the TV to check 1st and all ok so if anyone else has this its usually a light issue and not the HDMI box.... So all good 👍

This made an excellent gift for my boyfriend. Wish it was brighter though.

Can the lights work with just the apps on a smart tv or no?

The fancy sync box is great and the lights work really good. The only issue that I didn't know before buying is that it does not sync with certain TV's with integrated apps. You can only use the lights through a console or fire stick. Apple tv or chrome cast

Well didn’t get off for to best start, package was delayed due to a backlog, but the staff let me know exactly what was happening and were super transparent. Kept me in the loop the whole time. My order ended up being delayed 4 days, but because they communicated with me, I was okay with it. Once I got it… amazing!!!! Not much more to say about the fancy sync box, really is top notch. Really really good, no delay, good colour accuracy.

Yeah just slow deliveries but super nice leds
