Hello Bernetta, Sorry to hear your candid feedback. Unfortunately your claims appear to have been rejected because they are issues with eBay, who we are not able to accept claims against within our current system. (While eBay and PayPal at one point were the same entity they no longer are.) We could have been clearer in how this was communicated, and will look for ways to improve. Hi Kiania, Thank you for your candid feedback. It sounds like you accepted a settlement offer on your claim that wasn't what you expected. We do always provide a full PDF version of what you are agreeing to before you sign, but we are also working to increase clarity in the summaries we provide on our dashboard. We do charge 20% of settlements that result in cash or account credit as we say throughout our process. For claims against big wireless companies those companies typically have a process to turn positive account balances into cash if you are not able to use it. Hi Larry, Thank you for the commentary. We take all feedback seriously. Since you still have an active claim with FairShake, I would ask you to reserve judgment. However, we are not a lawyer or law firm. While we contract with attorneys who review settlement offers and, in some cases, provide additional services, if you'd like a dedicated lawyer on your case we suggest you find one through Avvo.com or another service. MK

While our goal is always to settle claims before they escalate to arbitration, unfortunately once we produce and file the documents to escalate your claim with the American Arbitration Association you are in their system, which can take time and patience on behalf of the individual and where the AAA has more information on your claim status than FairShake does. Hi Janay, We appreciate all feedback and we take it seriously. We're always looking to improve our experience. While our service helps customers reach hundreds of settlements every month with some of the biggest companies across industries, it's not the best in all situations and isn't intended as a substitute for the full services of an attorney. While FairShake is not a lawyer or law-firm, we do try to hire a lawyer to review and provide feedback on any settlement offer a company makes to you in negotiations and most of our users' claims are too small to be of interest to an outside attorney. For claims where you would like to hire your own full-service attorney we encourage you to do so. MK

A few clarifications: while FairShake is not a lawyer or law-firm, we do our best to hire a lawyer to review and provide feedback on any settlement offer a company makes to you in negotiations. This is after preparing legal documents for and mailing your claim to initiate the official dispute process, and then providing documents to escalate to arbitration if and when appropriate. We charge 20% of any successful settlement for cash or account credit -- or 10% on forgiven debt. This is less than you would typically pay an attorney; and most of our users' claims are too small to be of interest to an attorney. While our service helps customers reach hundreds of settlements every month with some of the biggest companies across industries, it's not the best in all situations and isn't intended as a substitute for the full services of an attorney. Hi, Thank you for providing your details in response to our request. I’ve been able to look into this and AT&T Customer Care claims to have issued you a credit and you say you haven't received it. FairShake has alerted AT&T that you did not receive their credit and we are awaiting their response. In the meantime I have refunded your payment -- this can take 7 to 10 days to show up on your original payment method. Please keep in mind we’re a small team doing our best. MK

Hi, Our ability to operate as a business does depend on us getting paid. Because settlements will come straight from the company to you (often as account credit), we do ask for payment when a user signs their settlement agreement. We know this may be dissatisfying, but to us it's an unfortunate reality of the business we're in. However, we do our best to give users transparency and options over how they pay us. We offer the option to defer up-front payment by 30 days, and will delay it further if you let our team know that you haven't received the settlement at that point. Settlement agreements between companies and FairShake claimants are legally binding, and we provide ways to follow-up with the company if you haven't seen the agreed upon results within 60 days. MK
