Finally, RELIEF!!
If you're searching for help getting a big company's attention because you're being treated like a doormat, I was in your shoes a month ago. IT SUCKS. You're getting tortured by some corporation hiding behind a 1-800 number, and you don't have the knowledge/money to sue them for everything their worth because of how they've treated you. If that's you're predicament, GO. TO. FAIRSHAKE. Let me explain why: My problems were with AT&T (no surprise there, when I looked online for help there were lawsuits left and right against these guys). My horrible service with AT&T started when I moved to Nashville in early 2019. I survived a year with their God-awful service and not-helpful-at-all representatives, both in the store and over the phone. December 2019 rolls around and I moved back to my home state Mississippi with my husband because we were expecting our first child and wanted to be closer to family. This SHOULD have been a time of joy and happiness, but AT&T made it a living hell. We cancelled ALL services with them right after we moved because I had finally had it. We had NEVER missed a bill, we put up with their crap, and we were SICK of it. And that's where it got worse. The first bill we received from them after CANCELLING their service was almost $600. We were tight on money from just moving AND trying to get ready for the baby, and they gave us a $600 due almost immediately with no payment plan option, and when I told them we wouldn't be able to pay it if we planned on EATING for the next week, their response was "pay it or we send collections to get it." We paid it, and generous family members helped support us after those leeches left. The ONLY silver lining was that it was "the only bill" we owed them. Then the next bill came. Then another one. Every time they promised we didn't owe anything, LIED to our FACES, then sent more bills. We couldn't keep playing their game, we couldn't afford it. I was up crying at night wondering if I would be able to afford my baby's crib because of those damn random and "due immediately" bills from AT&T. I came to FairShake desperate for help. Submitting my case was SUPER easy, and I hardly had to lift a finger. Within 2 weeks, an AT&T rep from the office of the president of customer care was blowing up my phone and email trying to get in touch with me. Of all the SCUM I dealt with from AT&T before, Mr. Bryan Bow was the ONLY rep that seemed genuinely upset about what had happened and was focused on getting me the settlement I deserved. He walked through all of the bills with me, explained why a few of them were necessary and why others would be credited back to me, and within a week of that call, I was confirmed for my refund. NO EFFORT ON MY PART AT ALL. All I had to do the whole time was answer when he (or any AT&T rep handling my case, like people in the accounting department) called and answer questions they might have about my case. It was like MAGIC, suddenly they were the ones calling ME! I wasn't sitting through 30 minute wait times on an 1-800 line that lead to scumbag "customer support" people. FairShake made this happen. 10/10 would recommend them to anyone in my position. The cost to use was upfront and honest (and REALLY affordable/fair for legal help!). My payment was 20% of whatever my cash/credit settlement was, but honestly I could have given them ALL OF IT just because it afforded me the peace of mind that AT&T would forever be a part of the past, and I would never get another random bill I couldn't pay.
