Phones did not work, twice

I ordered a set of eight refurbished Uniden remote phones from factoryoutletstore.com. A week or two after they arrived opened them and put them in the bases to charge them. After a few days one of them wouldn’t charge at all, and when I contacted factoryoutletstore.com they sent me a new one with no fee. Of the other seven plus the replacement, two would not register with the base unit even though I followed the instructions in the User’s Manual and two others always just said “Searching/Too far from base unit” even though it was within a few feet. The other four of the phones worked fine. I wanted to return all of them because I need eight, but was told that I could not return them because I had not kept the original packaging. The representative told me that she had found a way to resolve that issue – order another set and use that packing to return the first set. Sadly, I took her advice, got the new set, put the old set in the new packaging, and paid $30 to send them back. I did get a refund but they originally deducted the shipping cost for the first set, and only refunded that additional amount after I called and complained. Sadly again, many of the phones in the replacement set also had issues and did not work. So, since I don’t have any more original packaging, I can’t send them back and am still out $150+ in total. I ordered a set of new vtech phones from another company and they all work great. Update: factoryoutletstore.com replied that they had issued a full refund. They refunded only one of the two orders, and did not address the matter of the other order.
