Horrible customer support. I purchased eyeglasses and lenses with a coupon code that gave 20% off the lenses. The total discount was about $95 off. I went and checked on my order a few days later and eyeglasses.com had removed my coupon and is now charging me $95 more than when I checked-out and confirmed the purchase. I will be submitting a complaint with BBB online in the morning. Ridiculously poor customer support. Stay far away from this company. I am going back to smartbuyglasses.com. Followup: I left a msg. with customer service and then chatted with customer service online. They are checking on this for me. My credit card was charged the correct amount; so I am not going to be too upset, unless they hit my credit card for another $95 at time of shipping. I will update again after I get my order.

I paid $12 for "next day UPS shipping". Thinking that it meant "next day". I ordered on Thursday but did not receive until the following Tuesday. When I called to ask, the representative said that it meant next day from when the order is packaged and processed, which in my case was several days. He credited the $12 as a "courtesy" although with a condescending attitude. He said that it was a common misconception. If it is commonly mistaken as such, why not clarify on the website. This is misleading and that is why I am rating service as poor.

Just upset that this is the second order that is Backordered.

While eyeglasses.com is less expensive than going to a brick and mortar location, the overall customer experience was unacceptable. My glasses took 2 months to process and there was only 1 email communication from eyeglasses.com to me during that time. The rest of the time I had to continue to follow up to see where things stood. I sent multiple emails to the customer service email address and got nothing back. The explanation given to my by customer service was that "they must have gotten lost." In addition, Customer Service can only be reached by phone between 9am-5pm M-F -- and even then the wait times are long and you can't always reach someone -- all of which is outrageous for a company that wants to be online only. I'm not sure how this company can still be in business.

The glasses are cute but to small for my face. I reached out with a ohone call, leaving a message, and asked about returns because my packing list was a xerox copy and not an actual packing list. The copied packing list said return instructions were on the back, but peeing photo copied, there was no back. That was over two weeks ago, and still haven’t heard from them.

This was an extraordinary experience as I expected a turn round inside about a week having paid extra for faster shipping. The service has a slow turnaround and I called “customer service” to find out when 2 glass frames with new lenses would be sent back to me. The rep was rude and berated me. At one point, after I tried reasoning with her that their own email indicated the specs were in the lab (indicating they would be complete in 2-3 days and this was Day 4) she said, “you can go on social media and complain about us but we will issue a cease and desist”. I had not mentioned social media. I had not threatened anything but had suggested they were upfront about the time line on their website. I shared with the rep that one pair was for reading and one pair was for computer work and I was anxious to get them. She told me “anyone who doesn’t have a spare pair is dumb”! I have never experience such bad customer service. I asked to speak to her manager or the owner (she told me the company is very small) and she said, “he’s sitting right next to me and would say the same thing”. I received notification the glasses were on their way back to me but they would not receive an order from me again. Incredible. The glasses came in new cases and with cleaning cloths so that is why I give 2 stars and not a single star. I would never do business with them again - the attitude toward innocent customers is horrific.

This is an update from an earlier review. After 5 weeks kdelays on both the frames and an issue with manufacturing the lenses, I finally received my glasses. I cannot read any script with my right eye closed - the left lens is so blurry. With both eyes, everything is distorted in a fishbowl effect. Sending these back immediately. I'm wishing I went to an in-store retailer and paid a little more to avoid this hassel.

I ordered frames only (no lenses) and I needed them ASAP so I paid extra for express shipping. However it took them 10 days to actually ship the package (and 16 days between order and delivery) In the meantime I wrote two emails, left chat messages and never had an answer back. The service is non-existent. Nil. So if you order from them, just pray everything is all right because if it isn't you are screwed. Oh... and to add insult to injury the website message in the 10 days of pre-shipping delay was that the order was "being inspected by professional technicians" which is total bulls*** because the frames were completely twisted / deformed when they arrived.
