I no longer see value in utilizing this card with such a lack of quality rewards. After omitting gift card redemption, the value of account with Extra has took a turn for the worst. I’ve inquired about these deficiencies in the past and the very “millennial” driven approach to things has caused more disgruntling emotions, this speaking as a millennial as well. I referred multiple friends and family that have acquired memberships with Extra and I’m sort of embarrassed that I did. I know it sounds harsh but unless something changes I don’t believe I’ll be renewing my membership either.

I don’t really see how this card has had an positive or negative affect on my credit

I have been a member for a long time and they have brought me many problems! apart they do not report to all credit bureaus

I've had some issues in the past with some transactions and didn't get my full amount back . I also dislike it takes long to get charged.

The reports provided to the bureaus don’t help. The spending balance never matches what is in the actual bank account so my card has been declined at some of the worst possible times. No live personnel for assistance.

I am blind and use a screen reader and the app is not fully accessible to me. I have a samsung phone and have trouble logging in since I can't see exactly where the fingerprint scanner is on the screen and there is no way for me to reset my password for the app after forgetting it. On the Ipad it is more accessible but on the IOS version of the app I can't chat with customer service. Also, the card works fine in person but the majority of the time I try to use the card online it keeps on getting denied. For example, the card works just fine on door dash but whenever I try to use it on Amazon or anywhere else online the card is always denied. When I tried talking to customer service about it they determined that my card had disconnected from the bank and to reconnect which was not the case because the card still worked in person.

In terms of customer service, Extra was 5☆. Everyone I ever spoke to was phenomenal. Kind, understanding, never trying to push a sale; They all really made you feel like they were there for you. But in terms of the card's cost-to-reward ratio, Extra was 0☆. I was a member for 12 months, paying $12 a month ($144 total), and the only things I ever saw from it were a 12-point boost in ONE of my credit scores (711 Equifax vs 699 TransUnion), and redeeming all my rewards points got me a microphone from Amazon, which they claimed was $60 but was actually $43. I used my Extra card near-daily for a year, and every payment went through without a problem. I got this card because of the advertised promise of fixing my credit, but it did virtually nothing for me. I had more success using Credit Karma to find credit cards I had high odds of approval for, and boosting my total number of credit lines and total credit limit, instead of relying on Extra to "report to the credit bureaus..."
