Not for people with severe health concerns
I wish I could recommend EverSpan but I honestly can't..at least, not for people with pretty severe health concerns like myself. If you're basically healthy with no major complaints and want to keep it that way, or you just maybe want a little diet coaching to get more energy, it may be perfect for you. The price for all the bloodwork is good, and it is very cool to have access to a functional medicine provider 24/7. My provider, MJ, was very kind and understanding, and she did give me some helpful supplement suggestions. However--and I understand they need to do this to keep costs down but--a 30-minute appointment is not NEARLY enough to cover all bases for someone with moderate to severe health concerns, nor is it enough time to establish report between provider and patient. I like MJ a lot and I think she's doing a great job, but the system just isn't set up in a way that I think it beneficial for people with serious issues. I've been really struggling with mood, brain fog, insomnia, severe hair loss, and RLS since cessating an opioid-like herbal supplement almost a year ago, and despite eating ridiculously clean, enjoying fermented probiotic foods, working out, and doing all these other "right" lifestyle things, and it felt like I was basically told "You're in perimenopause and coming off of a substance; we can do an extra $500 test." When literally dozens of other people I know in perimenopause who have quite that same herbal supplement are not losing handfuls of hair or struggling the way I am. So I was not really satisfied with the level of care. It felt like she was sort of throwing supplements my way--and by the way, I'm already on a TON of them, so we added even more which does not feel sustainable for me at all--and that was exactly what I've been doing on my own anyway, so it felt almost pointless that I got this bloodwork done and was getting a professional's opinion. We basically haven't addressed any of my main concerns. Actually, we literally haven't. She did end up finally suggesting something for the brain fog, which has maybe made a slight difference, but at first when I mentioned the brain fog, she just told me she'd make a note of it. I dunno. I think MJ is doing the best she can with the system and resources she's allotted and paid to use. But for me, this is not sufficient and it ended up not being the extraordinary value I thought it was. I'm going to go back to self-treating until I can save up to see a provider who can really take the time to interest to work through more severe issues. Again, I think these people are doing their best, but this service is more a fit for mostly healthy people. Not those who are really suffering and need a provider to really be thorough with them. I will say, when I reached out via text, the response was quick (other than when I reached out to cancel my membership, which took a 2nd attempt and 24 hours, because the "Cancel" button on the website doesn't work). But if you're really struggling with difficult symptoms and can afford it, go elsewhere.

Thank you for sharing such a detailed review. As EverSpan’s founder, I take your feedback seriously, and I’m sorry your experience did not provide the support you expected. EverSpan focuses on prevention, longevity, health optimization, biomarker testing, and helping members improve their health over time. We are not a replacement for primary care, specialty care, or the more extensive evaluation required for complex or severe health concerns. In those situations, EverSpan is intended to complement—not replace—a patient’s existing healthcare team. I appreciate your kind comments about MJ and am glad she was compassionate, responsive, and helpful. I also understand your frustration that your primary concerns were not fully addressed. Your feedback about appointment length, supplement recommendations, communication regarding additional testing, and the cancellation process is valuable. We will use it to improve the EverSpan experience and clarify when members may need more comprehensive care. Thank you again for giving EverSpan an opportunity and for helping us improve.
