Formal Complaint Regarding Express Service and Medication Delays My name is Adrian Tezeno, and I have been dealing with Express service for over a year. Unfortunately, I have experienced some of the worst customer service I have ever received. My doctor has become extremely frustrated with the amount of back-and-forth required every time my medication or dosage is changed. These medications are extremely important to my health and to keeping my blood sugar stable. Every time my doctor changes my dosage, I experience significant delays and complications getting my medication processed and shipped to me on time. My insurance plan clearly states that when my doctor submits an approved medication change, including a dosage modification, the prescription should be processed and shipped as a priority. However, that has not been my experience. My doctor's office and I have had to call Express multiple times before my medication is finally shipped. I am repeatedly given the option of having my doctor send a temporary prescription to a local pharmacy. This is not a reasonable solution. I should not have to pay $150.09 for a temporary supply when my medication normally costs me only $15 through my insurance. If Express processed and shipped my medication properly and in a timely manner, this unnecessary expense could be avoided. I pay a significant amount for my insurance through my employer specifically so I can have reliable access to my medications without constantly dealing with local pharmacies being out of stock. Unfortunately, my experience with Express has not made obtaining my medication any easier. Another major issue is the extremely long customer service wait times. When I finally get through, I am often transferred between multiple departments—sometimes three or four different people—and I still do not receive a clear answer or resolution. It is unacceptable that different departments appear to have no communication with one another, leaving the patient responsible for repeatedly explaining the same situation. You are not the ones who have to go without necessary medication or deal with the consequences of delayed medication. I am the patient who has to deal with the potential health consequences, including withdrawal symptoms and unstable or elevated blood sugar levels, when my medication is delayed. I am extremely frustrated, and I am no longer willing to accept this as normal service. I am formally requesting that this issue be investigated and corrected immediately. I need a clear explanation of why my prescriptions are repeatedly being delayed despite my insurance approval and my doctor's instructions. If this matter is not resolved, I intend to escalate my complaint to the Better Business Bureau, pursue additional avenues for filing a formal complaint, and bring attention to my experiences through social media and other appropriate channels. This is my first major escalation, and I sincerely hope it will be taken seriously. I should not have to repeatedly fight to receive medication that has already been prescribed by my doctor and approved by my insurance. I expect Express to take responsibility for these ongoing problems and make the necessary changes so that my medication can be processed and delivered on time going forward. Sincerely, Adrian Tezeno

If I could give them less than one star, I would. I only have 2 thyroid medications on auto-refill. I never get them on time - then I must go through a complicated and very time-consuming wait - and at the end I am told I can pay a bunch of money to RUSH it and still it doesn't arrive on time. I have given up using them. awful awful awful. I told my medicare advisor NEVER to guide her clients to this company

If there were an option for less than one star I would have picked it. Horrible experience, worst rx coverage you can buy. The rx I was trying to fill required jumping through several hoops. That was fine but every time I met their requirements they would change them or add more requirements. This company feels like a scam, they gladly take your money every month and then fail to provide you the prescriptions your doctor has ordered. They should be shut down! Please urge your employer not to use this company for rx coverage!

Transferred health insurance to Premera BCBS which uses Evernorth Health Services(incl ExpressScripts and Accredo Specialty Pharmacy). Evernorth is singularly the WORST pharmacy coverage in existence. They are inaccurate, slow and they routinely make critical errors. The most major mistake I experienced involved their mishandling of a time critical osteoporosis injection that resulted in almost 4 week delay on a 6 month injection cycle. They are just asking to be sued at some point. Absolutely stay away from Evernorth if you value your health.

Since Evernorth took over Express Scripts I have experienced two "out of Stock" delays (months) on long term critical prescriptions. I never once experienced this with Express Scripts. Something is seriously wrong with Evernorth.

Prescriptions are repeatedly held up, and require follow-ups by my doctor in order to get them to proceed. Admittedly, this happens only with a restricted medication, but why should it, once a physician has approved its use by writing a prescription? One learns of the delay only by entering the website and checking on the delivery status, only to find the word "Stopped" on the progress line. This, or some other reason for the delay, occurs month after month, causing time to be wasted both by myself and my physician. Before Express Scripts (now Evernorth) took over the gateway to my United Health Care Medicare Advantage plan, there was never a problem. Responses to messages sent to Express Scripts/Evernorth on their website are responded to quickly and politely, but this is little consolation.

Their chat function doesn't work, the app updates don't work, and they are difficult to contact when there are medication problems. Horribly run organization.
