Good for wires
I use them for work and send wire transfers which they are very good at.

I've been a customer for a couple of months now, moving from Ally to EverBank. Just want to share a few things that you just can't tell from merely comparing interest rates and fees. Pros: (1) Great interest rates, better than Ally on both checking and savings. (2) No problem using mobile check deposit. Cons: (1) Slow, clunky website. (2) Bill Pay requires you to schedule payment days in advance of a bill's due date, as opposed to Ally's approach of using a "deliver on" date for which you can reliably just use a bill's due date. (3) Slow ACH transfers; 1-2 business days for the actual transfer are followed by a 3-business-day hold where you cannot use the money. So it's about 5 business days before ACH-transferred money is available. I moved to EverBank because of a really bad experience with Ally, where they took 4 days to execute a simple wire transfer and delayed my closing on a house. Compared to Ally, you will earn better interest, but the clunky website and slow ACH transfers are something you have to accept.

Update to my review ... After a week with still no access to my accounts (even though I can log in) I called again. This time I spoke with a different person. She had the idea that maybe it's my browser. I tried a different one and sure enough everything worked fine (apparently firefox and safari are giving some people issues on their site). So I've upped the rating back to 4* based on my years of experience with this bank. I suspect the first call rep that handled my issue last week had no idea what he was doing. Led me down the path of 'your account is being reviewed by upper management'. Initial review ... I've been with this bank for many years - before they merged with tiaa many years ago. Recently they merged back to become everbank. Today I went only to check my accounts. It logged me in fine but says "you don't have any active accounts". When I called the back the advisor told me "your account is under review by senior management. That review will be finished in 3 business days. I don't have any more information." For no apparent reason they locked me out of my own account. This is not how a bank should work. My money is exiting there fast.
