I didn't know if I really needed a travel visa to visit family in England. The website explained the options and showed me that it was important to get the visa just in case. The application process was very self-explanatory, and the immediate response of a live person was so unexpected! The cost was more than I expected: the £20 quoted became $212, once I started (for 2 visas). I had to re - upload one photo of a passport, I expected this to delay, but it was instantaneous! Again, a real person texted me at once that the new picture was accepted. Who does that? ☺️ So I was pleasantly surprised by the speed and efficiency of the Government website.
