Essay grader is really useful, convenient, and powerful. It gives you flexibility to create your own scoring rubrics, which is something other systems did not have. It was quick to learn how to connect it to my classes (I use Google Classroom). Most importantly, it really improved students' writing. When they finished the rough draft, I ran them through Essay Grader, and it returned them with scores and with detailed tips on how to improve them (and not just grammar check-real revising, not just proofreading). I was able to have Essay Grader focus on general writing skills (based on the rubric I provided) while I focused on a couple specific things to score myself. That's how I used it.
