As a middle school Language Arts teacher with 90 students across three classes, marking written work can easily take over my evenings. Essay Grader has honestly been a game changer for me. I was able to log in and start grading right away because it’s so easy to use. You can tell it was designed by teachers because everything just makes sense. Connecting it to Google Classroom was simple, and it fits really well with how I already mark my assignments. What amazed me most was the speed. I can upload a full class set and have it graded in minutes. The marking is also very accurate and closely aligns with how I would assess student writing myself. I also really like that you can create your own rubrics or use ones that are already available. With 90 students, marking used to take hours at home. This year, especially, I felt like I couldn’t give as much feedback as I wanted because there just weren’t enough hours. Now I can assign more writing and give students more feedback, which means they get more chances to practice and improve. Any teacher who has spent evenings marking essays at the kitchen table will understand how helpful that is. The best part is that it’s given me my evenings back. For less than a dollar a day, literally just a dollar out of what I earn in an entire day, it’s honestly worth every penny.

Essay Grader is amazing! Of course, it is highly beneficial for a teacher (help with grading), but students also love the feedback it provides. It is very specific and allows them to concentrate on improving various aspects of their writing. It also gives me an idea of which concept/standard to focus on if reteaching is necessary. It is an extraordinary asset.

This was so easy to use. I appreciated the breakdown of AI usage and the consistency in grading. I was even able to upload my own rubrics for grading. I spent weeks researching programs that aid in grading essays. I found that EssayGrader was the best fit for my 5th grade classes. My students write 6 essays a year, and I was averaging 25 hours of home time to grade each set. Since using EssayGrader this year, it has cut that time in half. I am able to upload my rubric, it's easy to upload essays from Google Drive or Google Classroom, it color coordinates the skills on my rubric to their essay, I can print the reports to pass back to my students or export to Google Classroom, and it's user friendly. I have completed one of the trainings as well, which was informative and helpful. Another bonus, every time I have used the chat feature, I am helped immediately, even late at night when I am grading. My only complaint is that I wish it printed the color-coordinated edits on the reports, but I am told that is in the works. As with any A-I feature, I still read through each essay and edit the scores and comments as needed. Still, this has been a game-changer for grading essays! I would highly recommend this to any teacher grading essays!
