I have been member of Equinox gym for a long time and it has gone down the trash over last 5 years. It is a essentially all advertising and no actual product. Gym has become into a club with loud pumping music and poor equipment and terrible gym etiquette. The staff and the front desk seem to not care and every complaint is simply ignored. Gym at times is really dirty with locker rooms smelling of piss. Plus they have really shady billing rules. Even if you don't have a contract they charge for an extra month and make really difficult for you to cancel. I talked to management multiple times but never saw any improvement. Its really just a status symbol now with no actual product or service behind it.

Do not join Equinox Tysons. I am a current member, and I deeply regret signing the contract. This is more than a disappointing gym. It is an expensive, binding commitment to a facility that, in my experience, fails to deliver the premium conditions its price and reputation promise. At $225 a month, Equinox Tysons sells the promise of an exceptional luxury experience. What I found was a dark basement, old and battered equipment, limited amenities and an environment that does not come close to justifying the price. My breaking point came in the steam room, where a woman used a foot file to scrape dead calluses from her feet. When I asked her to stop, she rudely told me to mind my own business and continued. Staff later confirmed that this behavior is prohibited, but no member paying luxury prices should ever have to endure something so unsanitary and degrading. I served in the military, and I have experienced field expedient Marine combat outposts with better standards of cleanliness, equipment and basic courtesy. That comparison should tell you everything. Protect your money and your peace of mind. Tour the entire facility, inspect the equipment, read every word of the contract and do not let the Equinox name substitute for what you can see plainly see with your own eyes. Choose Life Time, VIDA Fitness or Club Studio. You have better options. Walk away from Equinox Tysons before disappointment becomes an expensive monthly obligation.

I am extremely disappointed with the way my serious safety concern was handled by Club Operations Director Emma Marr. After an incident in the locker room where I felt unsafe, I immediately reported it to a staff member. I also contacted Emma Marr and even provided screenshots proving that I had reported the incident right after it happened. Despite this, I received no meaningful response for several days. I had to send multiple follow-up emails just to get a reply. When Emma finally responded, she claimed that if I wanted any action to be taken, I should have reported the incident at the time. This response was unacceptable because I did report it immediately. The screenshots I provided clearly prove that. Instead of acknowledging the report and apologizing for the delay, I was made to feel as though I had done something wrong. No member paying premium membership fees should have to chase management for days after reporting a safety concern. Member safety should always be the highest priority, and concerns like these deserve prompt, professional, and respectful attention. Because of the way this situation was handled, I have completely lost confidence in Equinox Hudson Yards. Emma Marr’s lack of urgency, poor communication, and failure to properly address a legitimate safety complaint fall far below the standards I would expect from a luxury fitness club. I sincerely hope Equinox’s senior management reviews how this matter was handled and takes meaningful steps to ensure that future safety complaints are treated with the seriousness, professionalism, and respect that every member deserves.

Très mauvaise expérience. Après plusieurs semaines de travail et un départ annoncé correctement à l’avance, je me retrouve encore aujourd’hui à réclamer une partie de la rémunération que j’estime m’être due. Malgré de nombreux messages et relances, mes demandes sont restées sans réponse dès qu’il a été question d’argent. Ce que je trouve particulièrement regrettable, c’est le manque de considération et de communication. Lorsqu’un employé est attendu, il doit être disponible et réactif. En revanche, lorsqu’un salarié attend des réponses concernant son salaire, il semble ne plus y avoir personne. J’ai tenté à plusieurs reprises de régler cette situation directement avant de publier cet avis. Malheureusement, l’absence de réponse m’oblige aujourd’hui à partager mon expérience. Je tiens cependant à préciser que les coachs et les autres salariés sont excellents, professionnels et investis. Cet avis ne les concerne absolument pas. Mon problème porte uniquement sur la gestion de cette situation par la direction. Je laisse chacun se faire son opinion, mais pour ma part, cette expérience m’a laissé une très mauvaise image de l’entreprise.
