This electric company is the worse. More than a week with electricity, we have a cable down in our front yard and nothing has been done yet. I do understand about what just happened but we are priority with a person with diabetes and heart problem.

Entergy review I live in Crystal Beach, TX and recently we were affected by Hurricane Beryl. Like most, after the storm hit we lost power. In a time when everything was uncertain, Entergy was great at communicating with their customers. After the storm passed, they immediately posted damage assessments for each area affected. This included exactly how many feet of downed lines, poles, cross arms and transponders. Entergy posted updates twice a day which included what repairs were completed the day and night before and what would be completed by 10pm that day. We were able to make plans and set expectations based on these accurate, detailed reports. In addition, they managed to meet every deadline they committed promised to their customers. I am very impressed with how transparent Entergy was and with so much of their power distribution network damaged, how quickly they restored power.

When it’s a power outage it take them hours to get power back on by then everything in your fridge is bad and you have to throw it out and try to buy more this is completely unexceptable

I had an old bill which I paid but they were still asking me to pay the remaining balance. Like they lost my payment or something. I was very upset

Had I known the quality (or lack thereof) of this company I never would have signed the lease at my new house. The company is dreadful to work with and has a monopoly over my new house.

They WORST ultility company ever!! Texas is supposed to be a power to choose state! NOPE, if you live in The Woodlands or Conroe there are large areas where Entergy has a monopoly on power AND they charge you a $290 deposit regardless, despite having previous service with another company, you HAVE to use them. They have a monopoly on power and charge you whatever they like AND they have the rudest customer service agents ever! Make sure before you move you find out who your electricity provider is!

One of my resident's power went out. He had recently had a disconnect notice, however, a pledge for the amount due had been placed on his account the day prior to the last day to pay by a local agency. We assumed that his lights had been disconnected, so I verified the pledge with the agency. The resident and I called Entergy several times and got various responses. One said that the agency had to pay the pledge. One said that the pledge sometimes takes awhile to take effect but put in a reconnect order. Hours later, no lights. Called again and were told the lights would be turned back on between 11am-1:30pm. Again nothing. Called back and we were told the reconnect order was completed and a technician would be out by 3:30pm and to give them some time to fix the problem. I found out this morning that the resident spent the night in the dark, the technician never showed. I asked maintenance to check it out and he got the lights back on. Called Entergy back to ask for compensation for his spoiled food because he is a disabled veteran on a fixed income. We were told that the lights were never disconnected. What!?! We requested a review of all calls made yesterday and are now waiting a call back from a manager. Besides all of the misinformation given to us, the resident had to try to verify his own information on 2 of the calls. This person has had a stroke and can't really form words. Didn't matter to Entergy. They only care about their stupid rules and will not make any concessions for people with disabilities. I am now a contact on his account so I can speak for him, but wow, what a way to treat a disabled veteran.
