Everyone I interacted with at EmberTribe was perfectly pleasant, and they did help with the UX on our website. However, after a 6+ month engagement at $3000/month, we saw basically no growth in sales nor any improvement in ROAS on our social media ads. Decided to move on, because $18k is too much for a small business to pay an agency that wasn't helping us scale our conversions.

Your feedback is valuable to us and we are sorry to hear about your experience. It's important to us at EmberTribe to ensure that our clients receive the best services and see significant progress in their business development.
While we strive to offer the best service and encourage positive outcomes, we understand that each business has unique needs and sometimes, results may not be as anticipated. Our strategies involve running multiple tests in order to learn from the data and then iterate. The goal is to find as many wins as possible to continue iterating but we understand there's a limit when product market fit may or may not be established.
We are continuously working to improve our services and your feedback helped us identify areas where we can focus our efforts. We valued your business and the trust you placed in us.
Thank you,
EmberTribe

All around great team...
All around great team.... The Embertribe team really answered my technical questions without hesitation.... Helped me understand where my business was lacking. It's hard to find companies nowadays that really go above and beyond. 😎

Very Happy! Excellent team of people to work with.
I have worked with EmberTribe multiple times for different projects and they have been really wonderful. Their team has helped me to promote and advertise my products and some special events. They communicated well and have helped me to build a customer base via my newsletter. Thankful for their expertise!

Spent $9000 to get nothing!!
We hired them because we were looking for a digital marketing agency. We spent over $4000 in and spend plus $5000 in agency fees and the engagement gave me a sale worth $78! I am serious $78! So basically I spent $9000 to get $78 back. I hope other people do not make the same mistake I made by hiring them! I am not sure about the returns and the unique strategy that they talk about everywhere. They definitely do not know what they are doing.

Unethical firm, run far away
I run an ecommerce business. With holiday season approaching, we began looking for agencies to ramp up paid ads and after talking to more then a dozen, we decided on EmberTribe in part because they presented the most aligned (in my opinion) pricing, my sales executive told me the pricing would be assessed based on a percentage of revenues generated by ads. We turn down other agencies and commit to EmberTribe, they put us through a 3 week onboard process which takes us to almost middle of November.
At the very last minute of our kick off call, the "group account manager" assigned to me suddenly tells me that in order to launch, I need to be aware that there will be a 3000 dollar monthly fee (never previously discussed with me) plus a double digit percentage of ALL STORE REVENUE (even if ads generated just a minute portion of it), which is something I never heard of before and sounded downright ridiculous predatory to me. Not only was this incredibly unprofessional on EmberTribe's part, I'm understandably upset at this last minute bait and switch, especially because it puts us in the middle of holiday season in the dark in terms of launching a professionally managed campaign.
In addition, unbelievably, instead of acknowledging my concerns the cofounder tried to turn this around on me by making outright lies and exaggerated slander against my persons while not addressing any of the legitimate concerns I brought up. My experience echos that of the last 1 star review that was on here, these guys are absolutely horrible and the worst, extremely unethical and predatory firm.

Hi, EmberTribe here. We wish you nothing but the best in your future endeavors. To be clear, you were refunded in full (100%). - You're right about the contract issues. There was a miscommunication (unintentional) in the sales process about our performance-based pricing. That said, the contract you signed was accurate. As soon as this misalignment came to light, our team, including the sales rep, owned the responsibility here and provided alternatives for moving forward (including walking away free and clear of any fees). - We value our team and their safety. Your behavior became abusive and inappropriate in your interactions with our team. You found their personal cell phone numbers online, started calling and texting dozens of times ouside of work hours. Our team had been responsive through normal channels of communication to this point (which is documented). - You then solicited one of our team members to work for you on the side at a lower rate. This is a breach of contract. - As much as we wanted to support you and be not leave you in a lurch during peak buying season, we had to also consider our team's well-being and safety. With that in mind, we decided to refund 100% of your fees paid to date and continue finishing the initial campaign setup deliverables. Those include, audience research, copywriting, ad design, and implementation. - At your request, we launched those campaigns with the understanding that it would be easier for someone to transition and take the reins of something that’s already running vs. starting from scratch, minimizing the potential lost opportunity of the upcoming peak sales weeks/month. After receiving a full refund and all of the initial deliverables, you still wanted us to manage the campaigns ongoing for the coming 4 weeks. For the safety of our team, we declined to continue. Good luck and all the best.

Ember Tribe Left me $4,400 in the hole.
I don’t like leaving negative reviews. In fact, I’ve delayed doing so for months. But in the end, I decided it wouldn’t be fair to others to not share my experience. The truth is, EmberTribe left me $4,400 in the hole. Here’s my story:
After my initial strategy call, I was excited. The owner himself had told me he was incredibly confident they could take fledgling but profitable business to the big leagues. It would cost me $3,000 a month. After expressing my concern about paying that much a month, they offered me $2,500/month in exchange for a significant share of future profits (in hindsight, it was a pretty raw deal, but I really wanted to get an “expert” working on my ads instead of me, the novice). They sent me some testimonial videos that really made it sound like they knew their stuff, and I signed up.
I was assigned a team and the project kicked off. In fairness, my offer involves a travel deal, and right after we started, Covid hit. I was extremely patient, since I assumed Covid was impacting their ability to get results. But there was something nagging at me too… The creative they were producing was pretty crappy. In fact, the video I’d produced myself was WAY better than anything they were churning out. After a while of getting losing results with their creative, they just started using my creative in their ads.
BUT HERE’S THE KICKER: Two months in, I took a closer look into the profitability of individual campaigns. During those two months, my own campaigns (which I had set up prior to bringing on EmberTribe) had made $6,000 profit. EmberTribe’s campaigns had made $600 profit, despite having a larger ad budget than my campaigns. Yes, as a complete ads novice, I 10X’ed their results during the exact same timeframe.
BUT EmberTribe also charged me $5,000 in agency fees, just about wiping out the entire profit of my own ad campaigns. When I approached them about the results, they “graciously” agreed to let me out of the final month of my contract, but when I asked if they’d be willing to refund any of the agency fees, I was politely declined. Essentially, they required me to take the risk for their lack of results.
They made me $600, and took $5,000. As a fledgling business, it’s been tough trying to recover from that.

Hi Aaron,
We’re sorry to hear that you feel negative about your experience with EmberTribe’s account management services. We appreciate feedback and encourage our clients to let us know what’s going on even if it’s negative. Based on what I’m seeing from our records of our time together we communicated the following: - You had a brand new business (only a few months old when we signed on) so testing for traction (figuring out your core audiences, messaging, ads, and more) would be crucial to your success and that it could take between 3-6 months. - Your business is in the travel industry and you signed on in February (before COVID 19 officially started impacting the travel industry) but once it did we kept you informed about how we saw it impacting your paid traffic. - We started active management (running paid ads on Facebook) on 3/16/2020 right around when COVID 19 declared a pandemic but even so we were spending about $150/day and 3-4x your return on ad spend. - We provided weekly updates on the progress of your ads, your spend, and what we were finding so you could have the information you needed to make the right decisions for your business. - We tried to offer the best agreement possible (re: paid performance engagement) as a way to invest in your business and build it together but it didn’t work out.
Best of luck in the future,
The EmberTribe team
