SEO? What SEO?
I paid EmbreTribe $6,000 for blog content creation based on specific (and agreed) keywords, with a clear 3-month timeline. From the start, there were major issues — their writers clearly didn't understand my product’s core value proposition, and I had to repeatedly explain why their drafts were completely off-base. Eventually, they adjusted, but the problems didn’t stop there. First, the articles were delivered very late — in some cases, with no communication for weeks. I had to escalate directly to TJ just to get a response. Second, they began swapping out our agreed keywords for irrelevant ones without any notice or approval. Third, and most importantly: the content did absolutely nothing for my traffic or visibility. Zero measurable impact. When I asked them to stop work and issue a partial refund (after they delivered only 84% of the content, two months behind schedule), they claimed all the work had already been completed — despite the fact that they only sent me the remaining articles after I requested the refund. Bottom line: their strategy doesn’t work, their communication is poor, and their professionalism is lacking. Don’t waste your marketing budget here. Save yourself the money, time, and aggravation.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re genuinely sorry to hear that your expectations weren’t met, and we appreciate the opportunity to offer clarification. At EmberTribe, we strive to be fully transparent about what’s involved in long-term SEO success — including the timeline it typically takes for organic content to gain traction. From the beginning and multiple times throughout the engagement, we clearly communicated that measurable SEO impact would require at least 60–90 days after the majority of content was published. When the review was submitted, this window had not yet passed, which is important context when evaluating performance. We delivered 117 articles over a 4-month period — exceeding the original scope of 100 articles. Regarding the keyword adjustments: our team followed the exact process we outlined at the beginning of the engagement (via email, during the intake call, and a detailed walkthrough video). When a draft didn’t align with your brand, we replaced the keyword using the secondary keyword list you approved as part of the content plan. This allowed us to deliver stronger, more relevant articles instead of forcing ill-fitting topics just for the sake of meeting a count. This was done proactively to maintain quality, not to avoid work. We were in the middle of a staff transition, which caused communication delays. Either way, we recognize that delays in communication were frustrating and have already taken steps internally to improve visibility and responsiveness regardless of internal transitions. While we did everything we could to meet both the timeline and quality standards — including multiple rounds of feedback implementation and fast-tracking rewrites — we acknowledge that this engagement didn’t meet your expectations. We stand by our work, our process, and our commitment to helping our clients grow through strategic, sustainable marketing. And we truly wish you the best in your continued efforts to grow your brand. —The EmberTribe Team
