I took this course and can vouch that it's legit. You'll definitely come away with improved skills and some industry connections. The cost is comparable to a University class, and I think what I took away from it was worth it. I happened to land a couple gigs right as I was finishing this course, and the skills I learned have already helped me perform the work better, making it look like I know what I'm doing :D

Really enjoyed the course. Kevin is sincerly passionate and a definitive SME on the topic. But also patient and easy going. The course is a solid exposition of his Art & Science approach/viewpoint. It's a lot to absorb (and so many paths of inquiry I've just begun to follow - I've got a big pile of books now to work through - covering the many topics and aspects of the discipline and practice. What I appreciate most is that the syllabus and material seeks to provide a comprehensive high-level appreciation of the core principles and approaches; rather than get moored in the pedantic technical/executional minutae of specific technical platforms and apps ( although learning to use R and Tableau to execute assignments was definately a big challenge for me and many others) Very pleased with solid foundation of the fundamentals and approaches the course instilled. Thanks to Kevin for guiding me on my nascent Digital Marketing Anlaytics journey! A fun, informative (and a little challenging) start. In terms of platform - some things about Google Classroom are not the best. It's the nature of the platform - not very condusive to community or collaboration (which is really important to me - especially in a course like this) Kudos to the ELVTR team for starting a Discord - but it wasn't used much by my classmates.

Andy Johnson delivers a unique curriculum that teaches and then tests you to deal with a variety of production concepts and potential issues. Through his course I learned methods for teams of different structures and sizes, how to communicate with external groups, how to keep a game on schedule and what to do when an unforeseen problem arises. He provided me with knowledge that will assist me on ANY production I might be a part of, not just video game development.

The Game Production Course with Andy Johnson is a fantastic course that teaches you the key principles of a game producer. Every lesson contained invaluable information that I will take through my journey in the games industry, from team composition to Agile & Scrum methodologies. While the grading criteria and expectations for class assignments were unclear sometimes, I assume they will improve over time, as I was in the first class of students ever for this course. Overall, I highly recommend this course for anyone who wants to get into game production, and Andy is a fantastic mentor.

Overall Great Experience with ELVTR. Timely classes and office hours, immediate response to emails it was worth doing this course.

Such a great class with a very personable prof. Easy to ask questions and engage with the class.

I enjoyed the program. The instructor was knowledgeable and challenged the class to think independently. I learned new concepts and things that would have taken me a lot of time to learn if I had not attended the program. More importantly, I gained new friends and a support community for my data analysis journey.

Took a class with Kevin Hartman and I feel like I became a better product manager because of it. Super happy with the course
