I really enjoyed the Game Writing course with ELVTR. The structure was clear, the assignments were practical, and the insights from Lorne were genuinely valuable for understanding narrative design in games. The course gave me a much clearer picture of what game writing actually involves and how to approach it professionally. I would highly recommend it to anyone serious about interactive storytelling.

ELVTR did a great job communicating expectations, and were helpful with tech issues as well. Timothy and his team were thorough, and I learned a lot. I have even been able to learn how to get my music out into the world.

I’m torn - the quality of the content given by the instructor was AMAZING. The organization from ELVTR was ABYSMAL. I think I spent more time outside of class trying to figure out where assignments were and what the requirements were than actually doing the assignments. Great instruction, awful organization

I completed the Art direction course, and what I appreciated was not only how professional the tutor was but also how honest he was in sharing his own failures, so many of us starting won't do the same. Valuable insights were shared, and great guests. :)

This course was so valuable to me to understand how I could transition my existing skills into the narratie design industry. It gave me a good picture of the production process, where narrative design fits, and the expectations around what kinds of things a narrative desiger or games writer needs to do and what skills they need to have. It's helped me begin putting my portfolio together in a way that I couldn't have on my own. It's also a great networking opportinity; I've made a lot of great friends and met new collaborators. Working with them even after the class has been over has kept me motivated and working on my game writing projects.

Course Instructer: Julia Wallace ELVTR Liaison: Marianna Aldavaz I took this course from 04/10 - 05/22 and I enjoyed my experience. Julia was a wonderful instructor and her notes were very thorough. She was also active in the Discord server. Marianna was also amazing, answering questions in a timely manner and forwarding links for articles in class. The only thing that kept it getting a full 5 stars was the lack of examples for homework, particularly in formatting, for those of us diving headfirst into the industry with zero experience. All in all, it was a great time. I made some new friends and there are no regrets here. Would recommend to others.

The environment, lessons and instructors were all very engaging and knowledgeable. Especially when it comes to the ever shifting landscape of AI. The frame works provided not only applied to the utilization if ai but how to be proficient as a person in creative spaces .

Maxxed out on e-learning. I took UXUI for gaming with Ivy Sang and the one thing I missed was more feedback and one-on-one questions with Ivy and Jacob, but that was on me for being too busy outside of school. I took this course while moving and while working a full-time job, and STILL thought it was awesome. If you got a lot of free time, these courses allow you to go deep on the subjects, and connect a lot with the teachers. I want to take another one soon hopefully!
