They are from China which if I had known would not have purchased from them. I know that the silk is from China but companies are located in USA to buy from. They will not take back sale items even if they are damaged so beware. If you do return you have to send the package back to China. The color I ordered was light pink which it was not when I received it. Their customer service sucks don't buy from here.

Zero star. Promised 3-5 business delivery, but take 10 days, and refuse a return. Horable customer service. Avoid!

Don't purchase ellesilk items as gifts. Your recipient will have no idea of the 10-day return/exchange policy. I received nightwear on Christmas Day that is too large. On January 16 I contacted ellesilk to request an exchange and was told NO. An exchange of size would have cost the company almost nothing and resulted in a satisfied customer. Instead I have a $100+ item I cannot wear. This is very poor customer service.

This company has poor customer service end of story, definitely foreign based(most likely China) and do not care about customers satisfaction at all.

If I could give this shoddy company 0 stars I would. My silk nighties arrived, far too big, they're baggy and gaping under the arms and look nothing like the pictures on their website. The model is clearly holding her arms by her sides to disguise this fact. They won't refund my money but only exchange the items and to do this, and I have to pay to return them to China, and then pay for them to ship me a replacement. AVOID THESE SHYSTERS!

I bought a dressing gown for my wife, and when it arrived it have faulty stitching. I contacted them back and they refused to take it back, replace or refund the item. They kept demanding photos as evidence.They stated their policy was not to refund "intimate goods". I pointed out the sale of goods act but still they refused to do anything. They would not give me an address to return the item to, despite repeated requests. As I paid via Paypal, I complained to them, and they upheld my claim. Paypal got a return address for Ellesilk, but this was their manufacturer in China, and Ellesilk wanted the item sent recorded delivery. The cost of this outstripped what I paid for the item in the first place. I would not get the cost of the postage refunded. I asked Ellesilk if they would contribute but they will now not reply to my emails. I contacted Trading Standards however they cannot advise as the company is outside the UK.

Tout d'abord je commande une taie d oreiller pour la somme d'environ 39 euros on me l'envoie et elle se retrouve bloquée chez DHL. Pour quelle raison car dédouanement à payer pour le prix du dédouanement encore 39 euros à payer super ça me revient au double du prix!!!! Tout ça pour une saleté de contrefaçon en provenance de Chine (ah tiens donc??!) et oui Ellesilk porte mal son nom elle devrait s'appeler ellepolyester car la soie est synthétique

I ordered a silk nightgown for my wife from the website and am now stuck with an oversize item I cannot return. The main problem is that most of their clothing is dispatched directly from China and there is no return allowed. This is not stated on the homepage, the product pages, the ordering or transaction pages. It is in the small print on the returns page. The second problem is that they also lie to Chinese customs by indicating this is a polyester item, and it seems genuine silk to me. But, this potentially means that buyers may be held to account for import duties. The third problem is their sizing is all wrong. The 'Medium' I ordered stated that it was size 8/10 for a woman. It is not, it's a 14 minimum. So, not only do they not accept returns, but their sizing means that returns will be inevitable. Except they won't admit them. Which is also in contravention of Trading Standards. So, you have a company that can't measure properly, lies to get through customs, won't accept returns of clothing and are rude when it comes to customer service. I think that should be enough reason not to consider them again. I am normally careful when it comes to this kind of purchase... and I did take care. But even then their deliberate hiding of the truth about their service meant that I was taken in. Avoid!
