Product nothing like what's advertised
I ordered the Realistic Interactive Plush Golden Retriever Puppy ($68.99 + $6.99 shipping protection) from Ellese & Co's Australian store. What arrived looks nothing like the product photos on their website. The listing advertises a USB rechargeable battery, but the product requires AA batteries. It also claims handmade polymer clay detail, which is completely absent. The overall appearance and quality are noticeably different from what's shown in the listing photos. I contacted customer support requesting a full refund. Over five emails, I received responses from four different representatives, each offering increasingly creative combinations of partial refunds and store credit rather than addressing the core issue: the product doesn't match the description. They also quoted different return shipping costs in every email (€25–50, then €20–25, then €30–50) and wanted me to ship the item to a warehouse in China at my own expense. Their own published refund policy states that defective or incorrect products are returned at no cost to the customer, but their support team ignored this when I raised it. References to the Australian Consumer Law were also ignored. I wouldn't recommend purchasing from this company. The product is misrepresented and their customer service appears designed to wear you down into accepting a fraction of what you're owed.
