on the first day of processing they put stop payment on charges as they erroneously indicated they are keyed in and because amount. So i decided to give credit to customers and charge them on my old processor. Elavon charged me for the refunds even though they never give me a credit.

Elavon terminated two of our merchant accounts on April 14, 2026 with no warning and no explanation beyond "too risky following periodic review." Both accounts had zero chargebacks and zero disputes. The following day they pulled $20,000 from our ministry's bank account via unauthorized ACH debit with no advance notice. Our bank filed a dispute and ruled in our favor, returning the funds. Despite multiple emails and voicemails to their Loss Prevention analyst, we received no meaningful response or explanation. Elavon's actions caused immediate and serious financial harm to our operations — threatening our ability to fulfill member commitments and pay suppliers for goods already in transit. No legitimate business or ministry should be subjected to this treatment without cause, notice, or recourse.

I have been a Talech/Elavon customer for almost 8 years. I ordered the latest model of my 8 year register system in March 2026. In attempts to navigate a minor issue with the new system, a tier-2 tech representative changed my user status from Standard Tier (for which I have paid monthly for 8 years) to Starter tier due to his erroneous presumption that my new equipment indicated my ineligibility to use standard level functions. The tech representative erroneously rebooted my system and reversed what he presumed were functions that a new system shouldn’t have while attempting to resolve my minor issue. Elavon refuses to take responsibility for their error and reverse this error to resolve this matter. My merchant services has worked for 2 days contacting upper management at Elavon without success. The whole situation is counterintuitive. Even if I were a starter client (which I am not), the whole objective is to have a client pay for higher level tiers of service—my merchant service and I have easily provided proof of purchase—so restore the standard status like I’m a new standard tier. Either way, the lack of professionalism is astounding. It make no sense why Elavon would risk losing an 8 year veteran willing to continue paying for standard tier over a simple resolution. Take ownership of your mistake and take the honorable steps to make it right. This is all surreal and counterintuitive—those are not adjectives that should characterize my experience with my register software company. Hear this: you guys are NOT the only software company out there . . . resolve this matter expeditiously or you won’t have to resolve it . . . termination of services will resolve it for YOU!

i reported them to BBB the claim goes beyond the handling of BBB. I have to hire a lawyer. Evalon hired a credit collector to collect the stolen goods . that their processor is not pci compliance. I need a lawyer who is credit card knowledgeable. the processors are robbers well dressed. retailers are in trouble when you have a processor that takes your hard earn work money. I believe you should send me your phone number. How to communicate with you. No just send you an email. A real person I can speak with. Phone number and extension or whatever it takes. That's how you reach out to your merchant when you want their money. You go introduce yourself and this is my product.

Wix has them as credit card provider and so does Costco and they use costcos brand and name to advertise also. After i signed up with them, provided all information including my costco information which they said is necessary to open the account and they said they do work with wix and their gateway does. I was told they are not compatible, why in the world wix has them on, costco contracts with a company to get their member information, they have it on their youtube page that they are compatible and their gateway works. I am extremely upset that they retained my personal and business information under false pretenses. I will be filing a complaint with Wix and Costco. I would recommend Wix and Costco distance themself from such companies that give them a bad name and gain their customers information.

I've had 4 terrible instances with this company 1. They never ask you to change your password before you are ready to make a transaction. In other words, a customer is trying to check out, and you can't proceed with the transaction because they want you to come up with another password. 2. They never give you a heads-up that your annual fee is coming up. Most companies give you the courtesy to let you know they are about to take money out of your bank account. I was about to pay my shop rent, and I checked my acouunt and they took money out without my knowledge. 3. I got a chargeback and didn't know it happened for 3 weeks when they took money out of my account. They didn't let me know I had a chargeback. No email, nothing. I got scammed, and they did nothing about it. 4. You will not get paid if your bank is closed. In other words If you work on Friday, you won't get that money until Monday. Bank holidays are the worst. I switched to Clover, and I don't have any of those problems anymore. I do not recommend this company.

Elavon, It is terrible service, you will regret to use their machine, they should get out from the market! give my money back!

We signed up for this credit card processing service for a new corporation that we established. Our company uses World Pay, but we were told that Elavon would be more cost-effective for the new company we created. On our first transaction, we put in all the required information and got all green checks on the platform regarding potential fraud. The charge went through but then received an email from an Elavon investigator. The transaction was frozen until we supplied literally the same information that we included in the transaction. WorldPay never did this. All I could think of is that periodically, we would have to spend extra time to justify transactions...things wholly unnecessary and things for which we had no time nor tolerance. I emailed them back to refund the cardholder and to cancel our account. They cancelled our account and in doing so stated that their company reserved the right to cancel w/o notice any account and they were doing just that. They also said that the money that we charged would be returned to the cardholder 90+ days from now. So, we can't charge the client for at least 3 months for the service already provided. This company is beyond insulting and infantile as they were firing us after we fired them... Reminded me of what a small child would say after...I'm not going to your party,,, then the child responds, I can uninvite who I like, and you are now uninvited. This company needs to act a bit less like the secret police and offer a lot more customer service.
