Crooks. Stay away from elavon. My card terminal was with RMS and because of elavons bad practice of charging what ever they wanted each month, I decided to terminate the contract with RMS. Months later I'm getting dept collection companies requesting payment for elavon. Once the contract with RMS was terminated all direct debit payments were cancelled, terminal returned. This means elavons services were terminated. Instead they are trying to say that they continued to provide their services. Absolutely shocking behaviour which will be reported to the appropriate authorities. Stay away from these crooks. Don't use them. Look at their bad reviews in different portals.

Do NOT use Elavon they can block your account with no notice. They will hold ALL of your funds and not tell you they are doing this. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Support tech does not know how to update my terminal correctly, so he try to sell me a new one, because my unit is too old. After that terminal keep crashing. Other support agent had to do the update in one try & with my old terminal, wonder does he get pay extra for up sale

As of April 22nd 2021, Elavon has failed to process over $73,000 dating back to March 17th 2021. We are new with them and they have not been able to deal with this. We may have to close our ecommerce and sue, which will add to damages, both short and long-term. Can we rate lower than 1 star? Peter Dobson Hirsch Precision Inc.

Terrible experience with elavon. Charged me monthly billing before activating my account. No response from anyone after about 8 attempts and two phone marathon waits. Finally sent email to 'CSR' and general email saying cancel my account. NOW the rep writes to see how they can retain the business. Thanks, but no thanks.

Looks like a pattern of practice to illegally hold a merchants money. Same thing with me. My 1st day of sales for 3 transactions of $3200, Elavon let 1 sale go into my account then and then immediately froze the rest. Then proceeded to send an email saying my money was in loss prevention. A woman named Brandy is the contact there and freezes the accounts. They then used the excuse that they need to verify my business. Ive been in business for 18 years. They have excuse after excuse. Asking me questions about the 1 sale they deposited in my account but nothing about the 2 sales they were holding! Oh and I have an LLC so im registered with the state of Ca. Elavon is a sorry pathetic example of a merchant service. Proof is all the multiple complaints everywhere you look. File your complaints on every website you can. Also i totally forgot i tried Elavon 8 years ago and they did the same thing. Also Brandy again.They wouldnt release $8500 in 1 day of sales so i did returns on all the sales. Elavon then wouldnt return the money to my customers cards! They took 2 weeks to do that after multiple phone calls and complaints and upset my customers. Elavon needs to be shutdown and sued.

This is a terrible company. I am a web developer and NEVER have I delt with a company this terrible. They claim to have easy integration, but leave out support for the largest eCommerce platforms... so over 60% of the internet can not use them. ALL Their website have 0 WooCommerce articles, except some European one, and it hasn't been updated for 4 years. I emailed support and a week later they recommended an $80/year solution. After all the BS fees they have, it's over 5% per transaction, and their staff had the audacity to call Stripes FLAT 2.9% "proprietary". Unless you are proecessing millions of dollars, you will never see an ROI. You also will never get back the HOURS you spend on the phone with them. As a developer, stripe takes 20 seconds to issue me a TEST api key. Converge took 2 different HOUR phone call and WEEKS of waiting. The client blamed me. If we went with stripe and ignored the BS marketing, we'd have the website up MUCH sooner, and with an actual stable payment solution.

Elavon Stole $6000 from me. I already file a complaint with FTC. Unfortunately they don’t investigate individual case. We should unite together to file complaints to FTC and file a classified law suit. There is already a law suit against Elavon on PCI noncompliance fee.
