When I begin to paint, I'll let you know how it worked for me. I have MCS and purchased red paint (I'm told red wall paint often takes 3-4 coats to get the exact color). I based the 5 star rating on my initial impression. The following is what convinced me to try your paint: 1) you demonstrated the non-toxicity of your paint by ingesting a spoon of it, 2) the flat $10 shipping rate on an order picked up at a UPS store (it was only $10 for my 3 cans), and 3) your matching my colors (oh so red & foxtrot) with the valspar color chart.

I painted my parrot's cage with the bird cage black paint. The cage is 24 years old and my wife wanted to get a new cage. After stripping the old paint and applying the eco paint, the cage looks brand new and I saved about $500 for a new cage. I finally did something right.

I bought the chalkboard paint to paint a wall in my kitchen. I loved using this stuff! I previously painted a bedroom wall with a different brand of chalkboard paint and it was smelly for days, came out of the can chunky & was full of chemicals. I'm so happy I found Ecos paints for the kitchen paint. This stuff has no odor, was smooth in the can, & has zero VOC, which is what I care most about. Love it!

I bought the WoodShield Stain and ECOS Interior Satin Woodstain Varnish for mainly the NO VOC and these products were water base. I bought these to finish 3 pieces of 72" x 18" boards to make an industrial shelf unit with galvanized pipes. This was my first project finishing wood and building a piece of furniture. Also, I live in a 2 bedroom apartment and did not want any paint odors. Following YouTube videos, I applied 1 coat of stain, followed by 2 coats of varnish. The boards look great. I bought the stain in spiced pecan and it produced a warm and pleasing color. The clean up was easy - just warm water and a little soap.

Went on very easy. Color was wonderful and had no toxic odor.

My daughter loves paint chips. Everywhere. Instead of putting the single chips into a storage box, I looked for a much more concise and simple way for her to have them accessible. I am thrilled with the paint chip fan from Ecos Paints! The chips are large enough to compare realistically, but the service was awesome. I got the product within 3 days of my order! Plus, the paint chip fan is so much fun!

I hate leaving this mixed review as I like this company, their philosophy, their products, their people and the fact that they subsidize the shipping costs. My interior job required a small amount of stain and a larger amount of varnish. So I bought every color of stain in the sample sizes and also a gallon of the satin varnish. As a person with chemical sensitivities (MCS), I still can't believe that that their stain and varnish did not affect me at all. Any odor was the slightest (and I mean slightest) smell that reminded me of something nutty. But as far as any reactions to the product, I had none. Their stain is a dream and spread/blended perfectly with my existing woodwork. However, the varnish was a different story. The painters ended up applying 4 coats and the finished product is really nice except for the AWFUL brush marks. The can is labeled in capital letters "DO NOT THIN". So the painters did not thin and followed the instructions to the letter with a brand new quality synthetic brush, tried to keep a wet edge, etc. The first coat was done on a dry day and there were brush marks everywhere. They sanded and did another coat, which was the same. The next day we called the company and that's when we were told that it's best to apply this product on a humid day and to also thin the product around 10%. So they added just a little bit under 10% water and did the 3rd and 4th coats on a very humid day and the result was the same...brush marks everywhere. Just for the heck of it with one of the doors, we sanded it again and used a foam brush for the 4th coat and in spite of that, you could still see the brush marks plus foam brush marks. This product dries so fast that there is really no time to work with it. What I am most upset with is the vertical wood wall (back of the cabinets) in my kitchen where all you see is brush marks in every single light angle. I now have phone calls into some local high end tradesmen to get some suggestions as to what to do. I have a feeling that we might have to sand everything down to bare wood and start from scratch. If that is the case, then I will probably have to consider using a competing no-voc product as I cannot imagine using this varnish again. But will have to wait and see what the experts have to say. The stain is 5 stars across the board and I give the varnish 5 stars for no voc/odors with 2 stars for product performance.
