Terrible customer service with product flop
The varnish I ordered worked great, but the wood stain was incredibly blotchy and uneven and we had to sand it off and use a different brand. When I contacted customer service, they were incredibly difficult to work with and just kept interrogating me about what process the professionals we hired(!) were using and claiming it couldn't have been their stain. I am still trying to get a refund for my item. UPDATE as a response to the inaccurate comment from ECOS: You can clearly see the company trying to blame the application for their poor product. As I told the product specialist in our exchange, a 3" brush was NOT used and the buffing was done after the stain had already been applied to try to get it off once they realized that the stain was not applying evenly. BEWARE this company - the only reviews allowed on their website are those that their product managers solicit (no link to leave a review and I was told I would need to be contacted by a product manager to leave one) and NO customer service when their products fail. I was really excited to support a company offering non-VOC, safer stain options but now I wonder if that is even the case after my dealings with them. So disappointing.

Dear Jessi, We are sorry that you did not have a perfect experience with our product. From the photographs that you sent and the description that you provided, the professional that you hired did a very poor job. He used a three inch foam brush to try to stain a four hundred square foot floor. The photograph that you provided showed lap marks, irregular stain edges and even the application by an electric buffing machine - which left circular marks across the entire surface. Jessi, our products can be applied just like any other water based stain. However, all stains require a diligent and controlled application. Unfortunately, in this instance, that was not the case.
