If the foam earplugs you buy over the counter aren't working for you, then you should try these earplugs. Two advantages: 1. They block out a lot of noise, and 2. they stay in your ears. I suggest that you swallow just as you're putting in each plug, so that your ears don't pop. The only downsides to these plugs are that (a) sometimes they block out too much noise (my wife can't talk to me unless she shouts) and (b) they leave a tiny bit of blue residue in your ears, which wash out fine with soap and water in the shower.

I am a very light sleeper, was really hoping these earplugs would drown out snoring, traffic noise etc......I'll go back to my foam ear plugs wish work 10x better then these...Very disappointed...:(

have tried many ear plugs over the years when travelling, I am a light sleeper and find it hard when in the same room with snorers, just recently went to a womens camp, had 8 other women in the same dorm, and i slept like a log, thanks ever so much! very pleased with my purchase!

You comment is surprising, because our (soft and moldable) ear plug is well known throughout the world as both the (highest blocking) and the (most comfortable) ear plug in existence.
Niloofar, with our ear plug, one just doesn't take it out of the box and insert it; for just prior to insertion, you have to work or knead each each ear plug between your fingers or hands for at least 15 seconds to make it soft and moldable. Then, you push the ear plug against your ear opening until it seals the ear and be surprised at the silence.

I too wear this exact ear plug every night to block out my husband's snoring, and this amazing ear plug, not only works wonderfully, but it is the HIGHEST BLOCKING (most sound suppressing) ear plug in existence. Thomas, to experience the superior performance, you must follow (exactly), the preparation and insertion directions below, and you will then see why all the testimonials on our website page are true and accurate.
1. Just as you are about to insert, take ONE ear plug and {work it or knead it} thoroughly between your fingers or hands for at least 15 seconds to make it soft, moldable and to disburse the Pure Lanolin throughout the ear plug. Pure Lanolin makes the ear plug slightly “tacky” so that it stays securely in the ear canal and seals it. When the ear plug is soft and moldable and ready to insert, it doesn't matter what shape it is; round, flat, long or narrow; just follow the next step.
2. Using the tip of your index finger, push FIRMLY & FLATTEN the ear plug IN and AGAINST your ear canal (until you feel a *GOOD SEAL*) If it doesn't seal immediately, then hold your finger pressed against the ear plug (with slight pressure) for a few more seconds and it will seal well.
3. Now take the other ear plug, prepare it the same way & insert it into the other ear. With both ear plugs inserted correctly & sealing the ear canals, you will notice a huge improvement.
4. To Remove: Simply pinch the ear plug with your thumb & index finger and gently pull downward and out.
