I have tried the earplugs on multiple occasions. I made sure I rolled them between my fingers long enough to make them malleable. However, they never performed as well as I had hoped to cancel out the noise. I will not purchase them again.

Mighty Plugs earplugs perform like no other products in the marketplace. Not only do they form a vacuum seal (others do this as well), but they also virtually deaden all sound around you. I purchased this item to keep out the sounds of early morning construction nearby. Other products (namely Mack) would form the vacuum seal, but I could still hear the sounds I was trying to block out. With the Mighty Plugs, I finally had a break from being woken up by hammering and the breaking up of concrete. My alarm clock going off was the only thing I could barely discern. If you are dependent on your alarm clock for waking up, you may need a clock with a much louder alarm or a different sound blocking product. Otherwise, Mighty Plugs earplugs will be the product to go for!

These are by far the best earplugs that I've ever used, and I've tried many different kinds. I live next to a property whose overly zealous caretaker enjoys riding his lawnmower on the grounds several times a week, year round, and these are the only earplugs I've found that can block the sound of the mower's engine almost entirely. They are much more effective than foam earplugs at blocking noise and have the added advantage of being very comfortable and durable. I am hyper sensitive to noise, and these earplugs have helped to make my living environment tolerable. While I still plan to move eventually due to both the aforementioned caretaker and traffic noise, I will continue to use the earplugs to mitigate those disturbances until I can do so.

Wel they take away the noise so I can sleep after my nightshifts, but they make my ears very sore and red and in constant pain.

I've tried them all, and these earplugs are the best. The soft, conforming "silly putty" earplugs are very comfortable and do a great job of noise reduction. I've gotten to the point that I wear them even when I don't really need them!
