Dear Carol: Thank you for appreciating our customer service, but Carol, our ultra-high blocking ear plugs will WORK GREAT ( ONLY ) when they are inserted CORRECTLY and SEALING THE EARS!!! You will find the quiet you are looking for when properly prepared and correctly inserted, by following the instructions below: 1. Just as you are about to insert, take ONE ear plug and {work it or knead it} thoroughly between your fingers or hands for at least 15 seconds to make it soft, moldable and to disburse the Pure Lanolin throughout the ear plug. Pure Lanolin makes the ear plug slightly “tacky” so that it stays securely in the ear canal and seals it. When the ear plug is soft and moldable and ready to insert, it doesn't matter what shape it is; round, flat, long or narrow; just follow the next step. If you are going to pinch off to make a smaller ear plug, then now is the time. 2. Using the tip of your index finger, push FIRMLY & FLATTEN the ear plug IN and AGAINST your ear canal (until you feel a GOOD SEAL!) If it doesn't SEAL immediately, then hold your finger pressed against the ear plug (with slight pressure) for a few more seconds and it will SEAL well. 3. Now take the other ear plug, prepare it the same way & insert it into the other ear. With both ear plugs inserted correctly & sealing the ear canals, you’ll notice a big improvement. 4. To Remove: Simply pinch the ear plug with your thumb & index finger and gently pull downward and out. Carol, your satisfaction is our main goal!!! Please keep us informed. Dear Terri: Yes, they are GREAT, but they are even GREATER, for one is suppose to create the correct size for their individual ear canal. You are suppose to (pinch off) some of the material if it's too big. Secondly, re; your hair issue; push and flatten the ear plug a bit more firmly IN an AGAINST your ear opening. It is PROTRUDING out too far and that is why your hair is getting involved. Kind regards Mary-customer service

Dear Neil: If you are getting less than 35 wearings per pair, then it means that your body is absorbing all the Lanolin oil from the ear plug. Neil, just simply obtain some pure Lanolin Oil and work into each ear plug just ONE drop; that will refurbish the ear plug like new again. Regarding "soundproof"?? Please insert our ear plugs (until you feel them SEAL your ears. Then listen to the SILENCE!!!! Kind regards Mary-customer service
