Dear Anne: We hear you!!!! Now, here's how to reverse your experience to VERY SATISFIED !!!!! Our ear plug must SEAL your ear canals to BLOCK OUT WELL !!!!! Anne, please please please follow the instructions below (EXACTLY) and you'll be (( pleasantly )) shocked !!!!! 1. Just as you are about to insert, take ONE ear plug and {work it or knead it} thoroughly between your fingers or hands for at least 20 seconds to make it soft, mouldable and to disburse the Pure Lanolin throughout the ear plug. Pure Lanolin makes the ear plug slightly “tacky” so that it stays securely in the ear canal and seals it. When the ear plug is soft and mouldable and ready to insert, it doesn't matter what shape it is; round, flat , long or narrow; just follow the next step. 2. Using the tip of your index finger, push FIRMLY & FLATTEN the ear plug IN and AGAINST your ear canal ( UNTIL YOU FEEL A (( GOOD SEAL! )) If it doesn't seal immediately, then hold your finger pressed against the ear plug (with slight pressure) for a few more seconds and it will SEAL well. 3. Now take the other ear plug, prepare it the same way & insert it into the other ear. With both ear plugs inserted correctly & SEALING the ear canals, you'll hear only SILENCE 4. To Remove: Simply pinch the ear plug with your thumb & index finger and gently pull downward and out. Anne, we are with you (all the way) until you get this working PERFECTLY. Dear Margaret: You have not only the MOST COMFORTABLE ear Plug ever made; but the MOST EFFECTIVE ear plug as well!!! Our ear plug is either TOO LARGE for your ear canal or you didn't KNEAD it before inserting. Margaret: Please Note>>>>>It's made from Beeswax; and (( just prior to insertion )), you must (work or knead) the ear plugs, one at a time, between your fingers or hands for 15 seconds, to make the ear plug SOFT & MOULDABLE!!! SECONDLY, if you found it "uncomfortable", then it may be "too large" for your ear canal and you need to pinch off a small amount and insert a smaller size. THIRDLY: When you insert the ear plug, be sure to PUSH and FLATTEN it (( IN and AGAINST )) your ear opening UNTIL YOU FEEL THE EAR PLUG ((( SEAL ))) your ear canal. Then listen to nothing but SILENCE !!!!!!!!!!! Dear Katrina: Katrina, I confirmed that you purchased one pair of our ear plugs. You are reporting that on the 3rd time wearing, you inserted the ear plug into your ear and could not remove all of the ear plug. Katrina, that is not easy to do, unless>>>>>>you pinched off so much material and inserted "too small" an ear plug or you pushed the ear plug in "so far" that it was difficult to remove, or while removing, you carelessly pinch off the ear plug so hard as to break it apart. Without any prior communication from you or us being able to confirm the authenticity of a doctor visit. I cannot know for sure; yet whether accurate or not, true or false, it's best to communicate with us on inserting and removing this magnificent ear plug. Katrina, all of us in the office have been using this same exact ear plug (every night) for up to 14 years, (without experiencing) any part being left in the ear, so I can only suggest that you phone us before wearing our ear plug again so that we can be sure to instruct you correctly.
