Dear Sheryl: This is EASILY FIXED !!! Sheryl, our ear plug is made from Beeswax, Cotton and Lanolin and (just prior to insertion), it must be (worked or kneaded) between one's fingers or hands for 15 seconds to make the ear plug (soft and mouldable) and to disburse the Pure Lanolin throughout the ear plug. The ear plug is made to be slightly "tacky", so that it will stay securely in the ear canal and really BLOCK OUT much. Please follow the below instructions and you'll be very pleasantly shocked. 1. Just before insertion, take (( ONE )) ear plug at a time and (work or knead) it between your fingers or hands for AT LEAST15 seconds to make this Beeswax ear plug (soft and mouldable) and to disburse the Pure Lanolin throughout the ear plug to make it a bit tacky>>so that it stays securely in the ear canal at all times. 2. Then push and flatten it IN and AGAINST your ear opening, UNTIL YOU FEEL the ear plug (( SEAL )) your ear canal. If it doesn't seal immediately, then just keep your finger pressed against the ear plug for a few more seconds and it will SEAL PERFECTLY 3. Now take the other ear plug and prepare it and insert it (exactly) the same way as the first ear plug. Sheryl, NOW listen to SILENCE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dear Raymond: Yes, thank you for appreciating our customer service. We want only the best end result for our customers because all of us here in the office and plant, wear this magnificent ear plug as well. Raymond, as good as our customer service is, our ear plugs are even better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We offered you the refund and also allowed you to keep the ear plugs, because we knew that if we had the chance to inform you, you would then see how great they were. Our earplugs are intended to be INSERTED (( INTO )) the ear canal. When you said that her hair was involved, then we knew immediately that she did not insert the earplugs far enough into the ear. Most likely, she was afraid to insert the ear plugs and they PROTRUDED OUT TOO FAR and got involved with her hair. Raymond. our earplug must be inserted INTO and AGAINST the ear opening, and it will go a short distance into the ear canal. Mary, please go retrieve those ear plugs and READ the following 3 instructions on how to prepare and insert them. I promise you; that when you follow the instructions below (exactly), you'll change your tune and be grateful for what you have. 1. Just before insertion, take (( ONE )) ear plug at a time and (work or knead) it between your fingers or hands ( a bit more firmly) for AT LEAST15 seconds to make the Beeswax ear plug (soft and mouldable) and to disburse the Pure Lanolin throughout the ear plug. Now the ear plug is slightly tacky, so that it will stay securely in the ear canal while surfing the biggest of the biggest waves Then push and flatten it IN and AGAINST your ear opening UNTIL YOU FEEL THE EAR PLUG (( SEAL )) your ear canal. If it doesn't seal immediately, then just keep your finger pressed against the ear plug for a few more seconds and it will SEAL PERFECTLY. Now take the other ear plug and prepare it and insert it (exactly) the same way as the first ear plug. Raymond, follow the instructions above exactly and you'll be very happily surprised.
