To be honest, the cheaper foam earplugs I use work better. These work as far as stopping harmful noises, but allow normal tones in. I was looking for complete silence. Too expensive for what little they do.

This ear plug works but takes much work to stuff in my ear. Also even when I think I insert it fully , I still hear sounds. Not sure it is true that any earplug can block out all sounds/noises. But it was worth a try. The search continues.

Even though I am in Toronto and these earplugs come from Oregon, they arrive quickly. I use them both for swimming and for sleeping. They're excellent for waterproofing ( for swimming) and a good, but not perfect, noise barrier. They won't completely block out the noise from e.g., a partner's snoring but I live in a noisy area and sleep with a open window and these earplugs make it much easier to sleep. I used to get swimmer's ear as I swim regularly but these earplugs have been terrific in eliminating that problem.

Wow, I have slept through the night for about a week straight. I don't know when the last time I managed that was. They are comfortable and I received them in excellent time. Bravo!!!!!

Tried many kinds of earplugs and these really block out the tv noise at night when my hubby watches in our bedroom. Received them in a timely manner too!

I waited for quite some time (4 months) before reviewing because I wanted to trial these earplugs adequately. They do not totally block out my husbands snoring (unless clinically deaf I don't think anything would) but they work in attenuating the sound better than anything I've tried to date. What I can say is that using one plug split in two for both ears works best for me. Some reviews mention the plug getting into hair or worse causing clogging of the ear canal itself leading to a visit to the doctor. I think the trick is not to use too much product and NOT to put into the ear canal as far as possible. It is not necessary with this product. Just extend the product about 1/3 of the way in then seal thoroughly around the skin outside. It should not protrude too far as when lying on your side it may touch hair, pillow, sheets etc. That means there's too much product. You only need to seal the ear canal not flood it. Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

Just reordered a set of 2 earplugs. They work great, but the only thing we found is that an older set of 6 or 8 earplugs had become very hard and could no longer be used. There must be an expiration date that we did not now about.
