Dear Mrs. Cochrane There is a very pleasant SURPRISE in store for you !!! Our Mighty Plugs will perform MUCH MUCH better than you experienced >>>> IF IF IF you follow the instructions below ((exactly)), for preparing them and inserting them CORRECTLY !!! 1. Just before insertion, take (( ONE )) ear plug at a time, and (work or knead) it between your fingers or hands for at least ( 15-20 ) seconds to make our Beeswax ear plug, (soft and mouldable). NOW we recommend to adult women or a men with smaller ear canals; to easily pinch off about 1/3rd of the ear plug to make it smaller. We advise this to those who feel any discomfort at all. 2. Then push and flatten the softened ear plug, (a bit firmly), IN and AGAINST your ear opening, UNTIL YOU FEEL the ear plug (( SEAL )), yes (( SEAL )) your ear canal. IMPORTANT: If the ear plug doesn't SEAL immediately, then just keep your finger pressed against it for a few more seconds and it will warm and SEAL PERFECTLY; and be sure to push them in far enough so that the (( whole ear plug )) is in your canal. 3. Now take the other ear plug, and prepare it and insert it (exactly) the same way as the first ear plug. With both ears SEALED, (( NOW )) Mrs. Cochrane, LISTEN TO THE SILENCE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please keep me informed as to your experience. Dear Pam: ON THE CONTRARY !! Our (all natural) Beeswax ear plug is most noted for being (SOFT and MOLDABLE) and especially COMFORTABLE!!! BUT PAM: Beeswax is somewhat firm and (just prior to insertion) it needs to be (KNEADED or WORKED) between one's fingers of hands for at least 15 seconds to make it soft and moldable. Once the ear plug is soft and moldable, that is when we insert it. Our policy is not to speak badly of any other ear plugs, whether they be foam, silicone, rubber or any other chemical material. Pam, please don't give up on our Mighty Plugs. They'll block out more than any other ear plug and they'll last longer too. Dear 1111swim: I can tell by your review that you didn't insert the ear plugs (firmly) enough to (( seal )) the ear canals. Once (sealed), it is impossible for water to enter the ear canal. Most sincerely Mary-customer service Dear 1111swim: Further to my reply above: Our beeswax ear plug is (UNLIKE) any other ear plug for it has Pure Lanolin in it to make it (soft, mouldable and slightly "tacky"); so that when it's inserted, it will (SEAL and stay securely) in the ear canal. If it doesn't SEAL immediately upon insertion, then just keep your finger pressed against the ear plug for a few more seconds and it will SEAL and stay sealed. 1111swim, we are with you (all the way) until you get this working well for her. Dear Ann: I can tell by your review that our ear plug is (( too large )) for your ear canal. Ann, pinch off about 1/3rd and insert a smaller ear. It will ( seal ) better, feel more comfortable and even it will block out better. Sincerely Mary-customer service
