I've tried many ear plugs over the years as I am so very noise sensitive. I'd almost given up as, not only didn't they work, my ears would end up very sore from expanding bits of foam. Mighty plugs both work and do not affect my ears..I'm VERY happy with this product!!!

My husband snores terribly. I struggled for years to find earplugs that actually worked. These do not work their way out of your ears, and they totally block the sound. They're the only ones I'll ever buy.

The earplugs block sound well, but it comes with a price. They leave residue in the ear canal. When you take them out, you can pick/scrape a good amount of material out of the canal. This does not instill confidence and it's not a good habit to get into. The directions clearly say to work the plugs with your hands before installing, and a rep from the company reminded me of this after a similar review. This is good advice, but it does not change this particular outcome. The plugs do break down a little at a time and I'm sure the company would not dispute this - because, by design, you need to replace them periodically with a fresh set. My complaint is that the breakdown leaves residue in the ear, and although the plugs block more sound than solid ear protection I have used, there is a price to pay. People should know this.

Dear Steven: OH YES! We know they BLOCK OUT WELL !! Steven, if there is any residue, it has to be the PURE LANOLIN. It surely cannot hurt you. In fact it is good and nurturing for the skin. Whenever how rarely we hear back from a customer regarding any residue, we ask TWO IMPORTANT QUESTIONS: 1. Did you (( work or knead )) the ear plugs for a minimum of 20 seconds prior to insertion to make the ear plugs (soft and moldable), but more importantly; to (( disburse the pure lanolin )) well throughout the ear plug? 2. Do your ear canals have much hair in them? One more thing to add, Steven: Put some talcum, baby powder or food starch in the palm of your hand and work the powder well into the ear plug. That will reduce ((any )) residue completely. If you did nothing, your body would absorb the Lanolin with one or two wearing anyway. Most sincerely Mary-customer service

Soft, not sticky and easy to apply. The best wax earplugs I've tried yet ant they are even reusable.
