Dear Mac: Indeed they WORK!! BUT>>>"uncomfortable" is such a surprising comment. It's a description that we ""never" hear. Mac, PURE BEESWAX is not only the HIGHEST BLOCKING all natural ingredient in the world, but it becomes (soft and moldable) when one (works or kneads) it between their fingers of hands for 20 seconds. This (soft and moldable) characteristic is what makes this ear plug (( especially comfortable )) to where all day or all night; yet you can always try FOAM ear plugs. Dear Alan: ON THE CONTRARY!!!>>>>>>Our MIGHTY PLUGS (( are different )) BUT>>>>>>one needs to insert them (( correctly )) !!!!!!!!!!! Alan, please follow the instructions below (( exactly )) and you'll notice a big difference. 1. Just before insertion, take ( ONE ) ear plug at a time, and (work or knead) it between your fingers or hands for at least ( 15-20 ) seconds to make the ear plug, (soft and moldable); and to disburse the pure lanolin throughout the ear plug. 2. Then push and flatten the softened ear plug, (a bit firmly), IN and AGAINST the ear opening, UNTIL YOU FEEL the ear plug ( SEAL ) (SEAL) (SEAL) your ear canal. YES, It needs to SEAL the ear to block out much. IMPORTANT: If the ear plug doesn't (( SEAL )) immediately, then just keep your finger pressed against it for a few more seconds and it will warm and SEAL PERFECTLY; and be sure to push them in far enough so that the (( whole ear plug )) is in your canal. 3. Now take the other ear plug, and prepare it and insert it (exactly) the same way as the first ear plug. With both ears SEALED, ( NOW ) LISTEN TO (( SILENCE )) !!!!!! Dear Shoshana: This is an EASY FIX!!!! You have the HIGHEST BLOCKING Ear Plug in the world---BUT you have to know (( how to use it )) !!! Shoshana, you must insert them to where they (( SEAL )) your ear canals. Just follow the instructions below (exactly) and you'll be very pleasantly surprised at the sound elimination. THEY REALLY BLOCK OUT !!!!! 1.
