Bought the mystery box a in May and it took a month to get to me. I was skeptical at first like everyone else was but the quick replies from DxSabers on Instagram were reassuring. Honestly if you want a budget lightsaber and have the patience then dxsabers is the way to go.

Ethically Challenged
I’m not typically one for leaving negative feedback, however, on this occasion I feel it is absolutely necessary to warn prospective buyers about the risks when ordering from DX Sabers.
I placed an order with DX myself a few months ago on Etsy and I was met with the worst customer service experience I’ve ever received. Initially, I placed the order on the premise that delivery would be fulfilled in 2 weeks as per the expectations set by DX sabers. I had checked with the owner(Paul) to ensure this was accurate and I was told the saber would be dispatched within 2-3 working days, and delivered within 14. Covid-19 hit the world soon after, logically I expected there to be a delay but I didn’t contact Paul until the day after the item was due to arrive. He advised me there was indeed delays due to covid and I would have to wait another week. So I did. Another week passed with no correspondence or update so I asked once again for a reasonable expectation. If he had said it would be another week or even 6, I’d have waited patiently while understanding that this is an incredibly difficult time for international logistics. However, Paul now tells me he can’t force his workers to go into the factory and make the sabers because of lockdown, and there is a shortage in the supply chain from China due to their economical reboot.
At this point it was obvious he hadn’t actually dispatched the saber, nor did he even have it to dispatch. I think he forgot which customer he was lying to... I called him out on this to which he responded with something about it coming from HIS factory in China to his factory Philadelphia. It made no sense and I was frustrated with the situation. He promised to get his workers back in to make the order over the next couple of days. I knew this wasn’t true but I figured cancelling and ordering again from somewhere else might take even longer, so I gave him another chance. 5 days passed with no update so I reached out again to demand an answer, then a few days later he replies to tell me that just for me, his workers have went back to start making the saber and he asked me to wait another month for it to arrive.
I could see through the lies and I wasn’t going to stand for it. He was trying to make it look like he was doing me a favour. I addressed my concerns with him as politely as I could and told him if he doesn’t give me a realistic ETA then I would like the order cancelled. He then responds rather aggressively, calls me a troll and then says he is refunding and cancelling the order. He then proceeds to tell me that his other customers who haven’t harassed him have received their orders and they are happy, but I won’t get mine now—as if he was trying to taunt me. It worked to an extent, because I was furious with him. I demanded the refund to be processed and he claimed he had done so already. I requested confirmation as he said it will be in my pending transactions, but it wasn’t. He told me to, “take a break from getting so emotional”. I couldn’t believe this was the customer service I was receiving. Another day passed and I asked again, this time he tells me to stop harassing him, so I just went straight to Etsy and they refunded me immediately.
I followed up, leaving him a 1* review by summarising my experience. His response was laughable. He claimed he sent me many messages for updates, always responded to me within 2 hours and that apparently I changed my mind after he refunded me. He even suggested that I won’t stop threatening him...
Paul’s behaviour is unhinged. He will respond to this no doubt, and I’m sure it will be a pretty transparent reflection of who he is and how he conducts business. Although I do urge you to ignore his response and refrain from exchanging money with this man. He’ll happily fill your head with lies as long he can make a quick buck.

*Customers be aware!* *Scam alert*
*Customers be aware!* *Scam alert*
This merchant is a con artist. You may hear a sob story, on top of many other excuses, for why your order takes weeks, if not months, to ship. This person is a criminal, and I cannot believe they are still able to scam people like they do. If you value your money and time, avoid this seller at all costs.

Dxsabers is not a scam
There is a lot of bad stuff going around and people say that it’s a scam but it’s not, people are just saying this because it’s what everyone else is saying, everyone who is writing reviews on here has not bought a lightsaber from them while I on the other hand have and can say that their products are great, shipping takes a while but very good customer service and brilliant lightsaber!

DX Sabers Saber Designs
DX Sabers sells a selection of hilt designs that are made in China, including products from LGT Sabers and YDD Sabers. Some of the designs are character inspired and others are not. Multiple designs are available on Alibaba and AliExpress or from other resellers.
Some of the photos used by DX Sabers originate from different companies. For example, an image for a Revan style lightsaber in the DX Sabers store is the same as an image for 3D printed Thingiverse lightsaber design by CaseStudyno8 from 2016.
Brittain Woolley of the custom saber company Saber Royale has alleged on Facebook that DX Sabers is selling a recast of a Saber Royale design. “They are selling an old [Starkiller style] design of mine as well, sans permission or royalties of course.”
Additionally, DX Sabers has been banned from the r/lightsabers subreddit. The r/lightsabers subreddit is the largest lightsaber-themed subreddit on reddit with over 49,000 members. The r/lightsabers moderator T_Quach discusses the ban in the r/lightsabers subreddit thread ‘My experience with DX sabers’.
As of May 5, 2020, DX Sabers has 13 Facebook reviews, 12 of which recommend the company and one of which does not recommend the company. Three of the March 2020 reviews are made by Facebook profiles using a stock photo of a person or a photo of a person posted elsewhere on the internet. Five out of the seven Facebook recommendations for DX Sabers posted in March 2020 have Facebook profile photos that were uploaded on the same day as the recommendation and have no Facebook friends or other info publicly listed on their Facebook profiles.
A “Force FX Lightsaber” is a trademarked term for an officially licensed, character inspired lightsaber manufactured by Hasbro (currently) or Master Replicas (formerly). DX Sabers lists many of its custom sabers as “Force FX Lightsabers” even though none of its products are officially licensed or described as Hasbro or Master Replicas products.
The DX Sabers website states that, “Every purchase of THE MASTER REY lightsaber will donate a portion to Sophie’s Sabers Foundation. The money gets put into an account that Sophie’s parents can use to spend on her bills, fun times, etc.” The website also features a “Donate” button on the Sophie’s Sabers Foundation page.
The DX Sabers website states that “Sophie’s Sabers Foundation is registered with the IRS and the United States Goverment as a non-profit organization.” Google results for “Sophie’s Sabers Foundation” all refer to the DX Sabers website. SaberSourcing could not locate an independent “Sophie’s Sabers Foundation” website, Facebook page, or contact information.
On May 7, 2020, the DX Sabers Facebook page posts that the EIN for “Sophie’s Sabers Foundation” is 85-0905941. SaberSourcing could not locate or verify the nonprofit status of the organization using the IRS Tax Exempt Organization Search. SaberSourcing searches for the organization name “Sophie’s Sabers Foundation” and the EIN 85-0905941
“did not return any result”. The IRS states, “Certain eligible donees (i.e., churches, group ruling subordinates, and governmental units) may not be listed.”
On May 6, 2020, DX Sabers posts an image of lightsaber arm attachments on DX Sabers Facebook page, writing, “If you are someone who would love a lightsaber arm please reach out to us as we can make them custom just for your arm!!!” The photo is from reddit user EatPrayNub.
When asked if EatPrayNub gave DX Sabers permission to use the photo, EatPrayNub responds, “We did not, and I have just submitted a copyright claim via Facebook and Instagram. Not sure what good it will
do, but this is annoying.”
In a separate reddit post, EatPrayNub writes, “The [lightsaber arm attachment] adapter was designed by myself and a friend at the bionics company Össur, then machined by SaberForge to fit their adaptive saber
parts….DX sabers has stolen that picture from me, which I posted on my social media 2 days ago [May 4, 2020].”
The lightsaber arm attachment photo has been removed from the DX Sabers Facebook account and Instagram account.
Following the initial posting of this article on May 5, 2020, DX Sabers emailed SaberSourcing a series of at 5 messages within the span of 40 minutes.
In one email, entitled “CALL OR COURT”, DX Sabers founder Paul Doghramji, Jr. writes, “You have no idea how much in violation of the law you are and we expect this article taken down immediately or you will be hearing from my attorney.”
Full article is available on the sabersourcing webpage. Their site posts positive reviews of other saber sellers.
Edit in response to DXSabers's reply: I don't need to buy from DXSabers. I've bought from their supplier so I Know EXACTLY what their quality is. I don't need to catch herpes to know it's bad.
