The vet is great, nothing else is. Nickels and dimes you, only presents the most expensive option. This company used to be good a few years ago. Greed hot them too i guess. Managed to order meds, still havent been shipped! My dog is miserable! DO NOT USE!

Thank you for the feedback, and we're glad the vet visit itself was a strong point. On pricing, we offer price matching if you find a better rate at another US-based pharmacy, and you're never required to order through us, transferring to a local pharmacy is always an option too.
We're sorry to hear about the shipping delay on your dog's medication. We've reached out here to get more details so we can look up your account.

What an absolute SCAM
What an absolute SCAM. Cat has diarrhea and cannot get a vet zoom call until tomorrow NIGHT. Then I am told by message that I will be waiting until next week to receive medication because its about to be the weekend. For simple meds, SIMPLE. I am sick to my stomach that I have fallen for this companies tactics. What is the point of using them? This does not help my cat. This HURTS my cat, and its Dutch's fault.
Response from Dutch VetJul 17, 2026
Thank you for sharing this. We understand how stressful it is when your cat isn't feeling well and it feels like help is out of reach. Dutch isn't intended to replace emergency care, so if your cat's symptoms feel urgent, an in-person vet visit is always the safer route in the meantime.
On appointment availability, same-day slots are often open, though timing can vary depending on how booked the vets are. For medications, we offer rush shipping (1-2 days), priority shipping (2-3 days), and free standard shipping (4-7 days), as well as the option to transfer to a local pharmacy, which we see you did in this case.
We hope your cat is feeling better soon.

Get your wallet out $$$$$$
The doctor that we saw was great for our oldest dog. The appointment was easy to do over the phone obviously. However, unfortunately, this is not a solution to expensive veterinary bills. The membership is pricey, but worth it for the visit portion. They must make their money on selling their products and their medication. Did not expect to come out of a free doctor visit.Needing to purchase almost $500.00 of medications and ten different products.
Still at square one.

Thank you for sharing this, and we're glad the vet visit for your oldest dog went smoothly and over the phone made it easy. To clarify on membership value: Dutch offers unlimited vet appointments for up to 5 dogs and/or cats for one fee of $132 a year, and for medications, we offer price matching if you find a lower price elsewhere, as well as the option to transfer prescriptions to a local pharmacy if you need them sooner.
We appreciate you laying out your experience with the costs involved.

Easy access to vets and that is all the good there is.
There is no problem at all getting an appointment set up with a vet. The vets are usually very informed and helpful. The prescription order, that is where the problem starts. For one, you have to use their pharmacy. You cannot just get a prescription to fill locally. And the cost of their pharmacy items are very inflated.
When you do order, you may get it in a week, or it may never come. If you call for support, you will wait in a queue for quite a while and usually get a message that says no one is available. Please leave your info and we will call you back. The don't... ever.
If you use the email address for support, you will get a reply. Usually it will be something along the lines of they will check on the order for you. That is not going to happen. So, if you have something urgent, like an ear infection, and you need topical antibiotics, just go to a local vet. As I write this, I have yet to have any actual support for an order I placed 9 days ago and which FedEx says has not yet been shipped. The cost? For a tiny tube of topical antibiotics, it was $100.
The website says you can opt to use a local pharmacy and directs you to a web link. That link does not list the medication.
At the time of writing, I am now on day 11 since the order and still no medication. I did finally get in touch with a human on the phone who told me they would check on it for me. At no time did they indicate a tracking update, a new order, or an estimated time for deliver.
Response from Dutch VetJul 16, 2026
Thank you for the detailed feedback, and we're glad the appointment process and the vets themselves have been solid. On prescriptions, you're not limited to our pharmacy, you can transfer to another local or online pharmacy at any time, which may be a faster option for something urgent like topical antibiotics. We also offer price matching if you find a lower price elsewhere.
We do see you called in on Tuesday, 7/14, and spoke with our phone team, who provided tracking on your order and confirmed it's expected out for delivery on Friday, 7/17.
We're sorry for the delay and the trouble reaching support along the way.

Just don't do it
Just don't do it. You may think you will save money or get vet service when your local vet isn't an option. They will try to force you into buying Rx thru them with a subscription plan when it is a one-time order. Then god help you and your pet if you request the transfer of the Rx elsewhere. The whole process that was supposed to save time and money, ultimately did neither.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We want to clarify the options available for medications: you can order through Dutch with standard shipping (4-7 days), priority shipping (2-3 days), or rush shipping (1-2 days), and we offer price matching on top of that. You can also transfer a prescription to another online or local pharmacy, most transfers complete within a day, though it can take up to three depending on the pharmacy's queue.
Dutch is a subscription service that includes unlimited vet advice for up to 5 pets for one annual fee, and in states where it's allowed, prescription access is part of that as well.
We've reached out here for the email on your account so we can look into this further.

I was given a discount code for $92
I was given a discount code for $92, but nowhere to put PETS30 code. I was charged $137. I cancelled order but was offered automatic discount, didn't get it. I called them twice, one extended conversation and was hung up on twice. Called bank and disputed it.
Response from Dutch VetJul 10, 2026
We are truly sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced with the discount code. We have reached out to you directly to make sure that everything you need is taken care of and we will certainly look into what happened on your phone call as that is certainly not our standard.
We would always retroactively refund the difference for an active promo code if you just signed up. Keep an eye out for outreach from our Customer Support team. We want to make this right for you.

They made up a charge and then sent it to a dept collector. I contacted them over a month ago about the charge and they keep telling me it's "being looked into". It does not take a month, or even a week, to review your own financial records. Meanwhile, my credit score is taking a beating while they seemingly keep leading me on.
Response from Dutch VetJul 7, 2026
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. All charges with Dutch are processed upfront at the time of service, so there's never a scenario where a balance is sent to a debt collector on our end. We understand how stressful it is to see your credit score affected by something like this, and we want to get to the bottom of it.
We've reached out here for the email on your account so we can look into your specific case and figure out what's going on.

Communication and prescription delays were unacceptable
I had decent experiences with Dutch in the past for flea and tick prevention and one of my cat’s urinary issues, but this experience completely changed my opinion.
On June 30, I had a video visit for my 10-year-old cat, whose cheek had become severely swollen. The veterinarian diagnosed a dental abscess and recommended starting antibiotics immediately before following up with an in-person vet for the tooth itself.
She suggested transferring the prescription to a local pharmacy for the fastest treatment. My local Walmart had the medication in stock, but in a different concentration that only required the prescription to be adjusted. Instead of a quick fix, I spent over 24 hours messaging the provider and contacting customer service with little to no progress. I kept being told they had to wait for the doctor, while my cat was left waiting for treatment.
The only other option was paying for expedited shipping, but I had previously paid extra for 2–3 business day shipping through Dutch and it took over a week to arrive, so I didn’t trust that option either. After more than a day of getting nowhere, I finally had to order the medication through their pharmacy anyway because I had no other choice.
I understand telehealth has limitations, but if you’re treating urgent conditions, there needs to be a better system for handling prescription transfers and simple medication adjustments. Waiting more than 24 hours for an antibiotic while your pet has an active infection is unacceptable.
Dutch may be fine for routine medications, but I would not rely on them for anything time-sensitive. Unfortunately, this experience explains why so many of their reviews mention communication and prescription delays.
Response from Dutch VetJul 2, 2026
We appreciate you sharing your recent experience with us, and we are truly sorry to hear about the difficulties you encountered with your cat's urgent prescription.
We acknowledge your frustration regarding the delays in getting the medication adjusted and the challenges with expedited shipping. Your feedback highlights areas where we need to improve our system for prescription management and communication, especially when dealing with urgent care situations. We are actively reviewing our processes to ensure a more efficient and reliable experience for all our members, particularly concerning medication transfers and adjustments. As well as what services we can provide via telemedicine when it comes to "urgent care" needs.
We are committed to making the necessary improvements to ensure we are providing the best possible care to all our pets and their pet parents.
