Response from Dutch VetOct 27, 2025
Hi there, we’re so glad to hear that you had a great experience with your vet! 💙 We took a look at your account and noticed that the weight input for your pet during sign-up wasn’t correct. The vet reached out to us to get that updated so we could make sure you were properly taken care of.
It looks like you haven’t reached out to our customer service team yet, but we’re happy to help if you’re having any issues with your cart or order. Please don’t hesitate to contact us at [email protected], we’re standing by and ready to assist!

To see and speak to the doctor part of…
To see and speak to the doctor part of it is OK sometimes the doctor is late not too bad. The worst experience is ordering the medication. It takes about 3 to 5 days for rush, delivery and longer for regular delivery. Does it make sense if you have a sick baby that you have to wait an extra three days after you get diagnosed to start to feel better
Response from Dutch VetOct 23, 2025
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, we really appreciate it. We're glad to hear that your experience speaking with the doctor went well, and we’re sorry to hear the medication delivery process has been frustrating.
For clarity, rush shipping typically takes 1–3 business days, while standard shipping takes about 4–7 business days. We understand how stressful it can be waiting for medication when your pet isn’t feeling well, and we’re always working to make this process as quick and smooth as possible.
If you ever experience a delay or need help with an order, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected], our team is happy to help ensure you get what you need as soon as possible.

Good Service, but New Appointment Policy Hurts Multi-Pet Owners
I’ve been using Dutch for a while and really liked it at first — the vets are great, and I appreciated being able to schedule appointments for all five of my pets when needed. It made managing multiple animals much easier.
However, since they updated their platform, I can now only have one active appointment at a time. This change makes things really inconvenient, especially since Dutch advertises “unlimited video calls for up to five pets.” The new system doesn’t match that promise, and it’s frustrating to have to wait to finish one appointment before scheduling another when you have several pets needing care.
I hope Dutch reconsiders this change or clarifies their advertising, because otherwise the service itself and the vets have been great.

Hi there, thank you so much for sharing your feedback and for being a loyal Dutch member! We’re really glad to hear that you’ve had positive experiences with our vets and that Dutch has helped make caring for multiple pets easier.
We’re sorry for the inconvenience caused by the recent update and understand how important it is to be able to schedule care for all of your pets efficiently. We’ve passed along your feedback to our team so they can review this functionality and messaging around multi-pet appointments.

The vet call was just fine
The vet call was just fine. It’s the amount of time. I have to wait to give my dog its medication. A week and if I wanna pay an extra $20 I can get it two days faster. It would be very easy for them to send the order of amoxicillin to the pharmacist
Response from Dutch VetSep 10, 2025
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’ve reached out to gather a bit more information, but you’re also welcome to contact us directly at [email protected] so we can help right away.
We understand how important timely access to medication is. While we do offer standard shipping and expedited options, we also provide the ability to transfer prescriptions to a local pharmacy if that’s more convenient. Please reach out so we can make sure your pet gets what they need as quickly as possible.

Try to bill you for same service after you pay once cant get ahold of anyone account information screwed up where you have to call just get billing information and alot of website issues.
Response from Dutch VetSep 8, 2025
Hi there, thank you for sharing this, and I’m really sorry for the frustration.
I can see that you signed up for a subscription service, and you reached out after hours on September 7, 2025 to ask about stopping the current medication. We process emails in the order they arrive, but I’ve asked our team to prioritize your case and reach out to you right away to make sure this is fully taken care of.
We’ll also review your account/billing details and investigate the website issues you mentioned so this doesn’t happen again. Thank you for flagging it.
If it’s easiest, please continue in the same email thread you started so we can keep everything in one place. We’re on it and will follow through until you’re all set.

Slow Service and No Response When Problems Arise
I want to love this service so badly. While you can get an appointment the same day (great!), it takes a week to get an RX (not great!). They charge a fee to transfer the prescription to Costco, but it still takes several days. I don't understand why this process isn't electronic and completed within a few hours.
I recently had an appointment for my dog's recurring ear infection. The consultation went well, and the vet prescribed a medicated ear solution. I decided to transfer the prescription to Costco because having it mailed to me would take over a week (I’m in California), while the Costco option would take 3 to 4 days.
Unfortunately, Costco doesn't carry the medication prescribed, so they can't fill it. Since I paid to transfer the prescription to Costco, it's no longer listed in my Dutch account as a medication order, so I'm unable to order through Dutch's fulfillment center.
1. I message the vet via the Dutch chat assigned to my dog, which is what the service recommends you do. No answer from vet for 10 hours (see more below).
2. I call the number in the app. No answer ever.
3. I sent a text to the number mentioned in the recorded message. No reply ever.
4. I email the contact us. No reply for 8 hours (see below for more info)
UPDATE: When I did eventually receive a reply via the chat thread with the vet, it was an automated "How did your call go?" that didn't acknowledge or respond to my request for help getting the RX updated.
Eventually, a help desk person reached out with options for a new RX. This was ~8 hours after my initial request (my initial request on a non-holiday weekday 9:32am PST, their response 5:34pm PST). I didn't. have an updated RX order for three more hours (8:47pm PST).
**In the end, it took more than 11 hours on a non-holiday weekday in the same timezone to get an updated RX for my dog.**
The vet messaged that she was in the hospital with a sick relative, which is why there was a slow response from her. Dutch should have a vet on standby to handle clients when someone is unavailable and cannot respond to messages. No employee should have to respond to work messages while at the hospital! Do better, Dutch!
Like many businesses, they are only as strong as their weakest link, and getting someone to respond when there is an issue with your prescription is a significant weakness. I don't think this service is particularly useful for anything other than obtaining a prescription for a *non-urgent or timely issue* with your animal (flea/tick meds).

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re glad to hear your consultation went well and that you were able to get a same-day appointment, but we’re truly sorry to hear about the delays and communication issues you experienced with your prescription.
Our team did reach out via email and let you know we’ve contacted the vet to request a new prescription so you're able to order through Dutch, since the originally prescribed medication wasn’t available at your local pharmacy. While we understand the preference for faster fulfillment, prescription processing times can vary depending on pharmacy availability and approval requirements.
We appreciate you sharing your experience and will continue to refine our processes to improve the overall experience for our members.

BEWARE appointments can be for NIGHTTIME!
Update: they did give me a refund and canceled my membership before no show fees for the nighttime appointment were added. I will update if I never see that refund. If I could have gotten ahold of someone immediately besides the vet saying they’d see us at 11:20 at night or I’d get a no show I probably would rate higher. You should be able to talk to someone immediately with an issue like scheduling! 11:20pm Vet appointments are not normal!!! This is a very easy miss for anyone! Thankfully we kept our local one just incase.
When I scheduled my first appointment with Dutch I didn’t realize they were scheduling me for almost midnight for a vet appointment with my cat. It was pacific time. I got on this morning waiting. Messaged the vet very frustrated. All they did was send me a generic reply and it wasn’t until I sent screen shots of the day and time they circled the PM. Never once said my appointment was for the nighttime. My mind didn’t register it was nighttime! It wasn’t an emergency appointment and it was scheduled in advance. I’m shocked it was so late. I would have never done that if I would have been prompted that this was evening and not morning. I called the company and was directed to texting. The text was denied. I literally texted using the number I clicked on through the website. This is what reads SCAM to me. You should be able to communicate with someone. I sent several emails. I canceled my membership which is basically for next year. I’m still responsible for this payment. The vet has given me no help except she’ll see me and my cat online at 11:20 tonight. That doesn’t work for my family. I’m going to be charged late fees now if I don’t get on. There should be warnings that appointments are being scheduled at nighttime. I don’t know what else to do but post everywhere I can think of. There is hope they may email me back but since I can’t call and texting is blocked I don’t know what else to do. The vet is offering me no help. The vet was trying to be friendly after I realized the mixup but I need help. I want a refund. Why does this feel like a scam???
Response from Dutch VetJul 29, 2025
We truly apologize for the confusion and frustration surrounding your appointment, and we appreciate you taking the time to share this detailed feedback.
It looks like there was a technical issue that prevented the vet from being properly alerted to your appointment, and we're actively working on correcting this problem with Zoom to prevent future no-shows.
We also understand how surprising and inconvenient it was to receive a nighttime appointment, especially when it wasn’t clearly communicated. While we do offer extended hours, including evening and nighttime availability, we absolutely agree that there should be clearer indicators during scheduling to avoid confusion. We're taking your experience seriously and sharing this with our product team to improve how appointment times are displayed and confirmed.
We're glad to hear that our team was able to assist you with canceling the membership and refunding your order, and we'll make sure the refund is fully processed. If there's any delay or issue, please feel free to follow up with us directly, we're here to help make it right.
Thank you again for your honest feedback. We're continuously working to improve the experience for our members and we’re sorry we fell short this time.

Terrible customer service
The veterinarians are great so I gave two stars. Customer service is horrible. The vet ordered treatment for an acute problem. It's twelve days after seeing the vet and paying for the meds and I still have no meds. You can't speak with anyone in customer service. You are told to text and get no response. When I did get a response after ten days I was told to wait another two days. Clearly the company does not care about animals. What good is seeing the vet if you can't get the treatment.
Response from Dutch VetJul 3, 2025
Thank you for your feedback, and for your kind words about our veterinarians. We're truly sorry for the frustration you experienced with your medication delivery and the communication around it.
We want to clarify that our team responded to each of your messages the same day you reached out. Unfortunately, your original order was lost in transit, and once that was confirmed, we immediately worked to get a replacement order sent out to avoid further delays in care.
We completely understand how concerning it is to wait for treatment when your pet has an urgent issue. As a gesture of apology for the delay, we also issued a $20 store credit to your account. While that doesn’t undo the inconvenience, we hope it reflects our commitment to making things right.
We’re continuing to improve our processes to ensure faster resolutions in cases like this. If there’s anything else we can do, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected].
