I joined as a member and my furbaby has chronic severe pain so we were depending on the medications sent timely. The first refill of medication isn’t sent until I called 12 times and sent 16 emails, when they finally realize they didn’t send it they said “we’re a new company”- well if you cannot send the actual medication the veterinarian prescribes then you shouldn’t be in business! The second refill still haven’t received despite it being on a paid subscription and membership with ongoing refills by their veterinarian. Vulnerable suffering animals are depending on safe care that they’re promised and pay for. Now, after I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on membership and medication- I see in doing a search for lowest reviews so many other customers not receiving their medication (and 27 negative reviews noted as flagged by Dutch and removed!) Why would a company allegedly set up to care for animals charge customers a membership fee yet not send the medication. My dog has been suffering and all they keep emailing is “we cannot charge your card” when my bank statement clearly shows the charges went through. The company cannot care and deliver on the very premise they went in business for the most vulnerable population in the world- they need to get out of the industry. Edit as of 7/10/22- this company flagged my review a total of seven times since posting for “removal” in an attempt to remove the truth. If only they immersed all their efforts of removing reviews and transferred it to efforts to ship medication and honor membership. I sent trustpilot all the documentation/ evidence of all the emails and order numbers. Dutch has not sent the medication albeit Daniel said he would refund me the medication due to all that has happened and send it right away. I received a refund for the medication but it was never shipped. I was still charged $144 for an annual membership and as of 6/15/23 they are now ignoring my emails and not refunding the amount they recently charged on 6/9/23. I was finally refunded the membership fee on 6/22/23.

I setup an online vet appointment worried that my dog might have ringworm or mites. This cost $30 with a reoccurring monthly charge regardless if I use it or not. The vet was ok and said she would send a prescription. She also said that if I transferred it to someplace other than Dutch they charge a $10 fee. The prescription appeared on the website right away and it said delivery was 5 days but it only showed a total charge of $54. No dosage or quantity. Hiding this info prevented me from shopping around to compare prices. :-{ So my dog is in quarantine and I'm checking my mail and the web every day for tracking info or anything but no updates. After 4 days I tried to call Dutch. It was on a Thursday at 12:16 pm. The automated system said I had an 8 minute wait time, then a 2 minute wait time, then I was sent to voice mail and told to leave a message. Basically someone didn't want to answer the phone and dumped my call. So I sent an email asking for an update and tracking info on the prescription. Kat responded saying it had been shipped and provided tracking info BUT WAIT! the info she sent said nothing had been shipped and the label was scheduled to be printed later that night. I responded asking them to send me the prescription so I could get it filled someplace else since it should have been delivered by now and NOT just getting around to printing a label. I also asked them to wave the $10 transfer fee since I had given them a chance and nothing was happening. No response, so I sent it again. After 3 days I get an email saying they cant cancel an order that has already been shipped.... ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!? They ignored my request till they finally got around to shipping it just to use that lame excuse! Completely ridiculous! So 10 days after my meeting with the vet the prescription finally arrives. ONLY AFTER THIS DID THE QUANTITY AND DOSAGE APPEAR ON THE DUTCH WEBSITE. Covering this up till after the delivery obviously benefits them because it turned out Chewy is 26.4% less than Dutch. I will never use them again and recommend avoiding them at all cost.

I placed an order on May 1st and I received an email saying it would ship on the next business day which would be May 2nd, I was patient and gave it a couple days but after Friday I still hadn’t received an email saying it was shipped so I decided to email support and they told me they would get with the pharmacy and let me know and if I don’t hear back by Monday then to reach out. It’s Monday and I have tried emailing multiple times and calling multiple times and no response whatsoever besides the automated email saying I should receive a response within the hour. I need the prescription and I don’t want to have to make appointment and pay for the appointment with her vet and pay for the same medication again. I paid for the yearly membership and I’m really wishing I hadn’t and just scheduled an appointment with her vet to begin with then my dog would be on her medication by now and not be suffering. UPDATE: I finally ended up receiving the order on May 13th. It took over a week to ship when they say it will ship the next day if ordered Monday-Thursday and I ordered it on a Monday. I will be trying to get a refund for the membership and if they aren’t able to give me one I will give them another try because I don’t want the 100 dollars I spent to just go to waste. I would not recommend Dutch to anyone. Do not waste your time or money.

I started the initial sign up process but didn’t move forward after finding such negative reviews online. I pretty promptly received an email follow up signed by “Ariel” who has mentioned in many of the negative reviews, stating questions could be sent by replying directly. I did, explaining that I didn’t finish the sign up bc Trustpilot was the only site without overwhelmingly negative reviews I could find. Knowing how easy it is for companies to remove reviews from Trustpilot, I don’t find their site to be a reputable source for reviews. Within 30 minutes a received a reply from “Amber” which is interesting given paying customers wait days for a response if ever even receiving one. Clearly recruitment of new subscribers takes precedence over paying customers - red flag. The response said they could still find negative reviews on trustpilot so they assure me they’re not purchasing reviews. Are they telling on themselves, bc I never mentioned or implied positive reviews were being purchased, only negative reviews being removed - another red flag. She also mentioned they cannot treat the allergy/skin issue my cat is having, which usually just requires a script for oral steroids - yet another red flag. Had I completed the sign up I’d be out the money w their strict “all sales final” policy, something that has changed since the company started a few years ago. Bait and switch practices preying on sick pets, subscribers beware.

They make you prepay for service, and do not refund you if they don’t have vets available. I paid $50 and got nothing - and they didn’t refund me! Not even a doctor chat- let alone a prescription for tic I was looking for. Isn’t that nuts? I asked about vet availability and why there were no spots open - at all - and someone said they’d open them and they’d let me know. Shocker, they never did. Total SCAM. I went to FUZZY HEALTH and actually got an appointment THE SAME DAY and the meds I needed EDIT: theyve now contacted trust pilot to flag this review as FAKE and are trying to take it down. This leads me to believe this scam is being pulled on so many others - and the reviews are deleted. I attempted to contact them again for a refund and asked about this. EDIT 3: see their reply? no mention of how they stole my money and rendered no services. just trying to remove reviews on a technicality. give me my money back, Dutch, or you are definitely SCAMMERS. I’ve been asking for my money back for MONTHS.

Dutch has an unethical policy of keeping customers money for services that it never provided. I signed up for Dutch through my employer but realized after I paid for a membershio that Dutch did not include the services I needed.after learning I would still have to keep my old pet insurance active to protect my pet, I cancelled my Dutch policy 4 DAYS BEFORE my coverage was scheduled to begin. Dutch refused to refund my money even though I canceled the policy before it ever began. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS SERVICE. It’s a waste of money for unnecessary services from an unethical company. Just get regular pet insurance on your own!

Just go to your regular vet. I called Dutch on a weekend when my cat had an ear infection (regular vet wasn’t open) thinking I could get a head start on getting my cat a treatment plan. Basically all they told me to do was go to my regular vet. Unless you want to pay an additional $35, you won’t get the meds they prescribe for at least 3 days. Not worth the money. I would have saved time and money just sticking with my regular vet… Asked for a refund after my poor experience and they said no.

The doctor for our first call never showed up. The 2nd day Sunday, the doctor was there and was helpful and informative. Unfortunately the meds she prescribed for my cat haven’t arrived and it’s Thursday afternoon and still no meds. I paid for them and for expedited shipping. We ended up having to take the cat to an in person vet anyway. So now I’m out the monthly fee, the in person vet bill and I’ve paid for the same meds twice. I’d suggest just going to the vet. You’ll save yourself money in the long run.
