Great concept...horrible execution Online vet visit was great, everything afterwards was a disaster. My dog is on scheduled medication and starting to struggle because the order was canceled, reordered, and they are now out of stock Taking the prescription they provided and going to a different pharmacy.

It can't replace a real Vet. Things I didn't know that, their prescription does not accepted to any other pharmacy. So you you have to order for them. Their regular deliveries take 7-8 days. So, your pet might get well by the time the medicines arrive. Also they charge an illogical $7 (pharmacy processing fee) with every order. And if you need the medicine urgently, which still takes 2-3 days, you have to pay extra $15. I am not renewing the Dutch subscription for the next year. It does not worth it to have it. Go and see real in person vets.

Indeed, it is more cost-effective to schedule an over-the-phone consultation with their veterinarian. The medication prescription is identical to that obtained through an in-person visit. However, they are attempting to justify the high cost of the medications. Additionally, if you are not satisfied with the service, they will not refund any unused portions of your subscription, which they fail to disclose on their booking page. Even if you change your mind, you will not be able to get your money back. Therefore, I would advise you to reconsider your decision and think twice or three times before paying the high cost of expensive medication to save absolutely nothing. I am deeply disappointed with the service you canceled your recurring subscription for. However, they retain the initial payment.

The service they provide is convenient, but there’s a lot of things that should be improved about the capabilities. If you have multiple pets, it’s impossible to coordinate their care with one veterinarian. You have to begin by randomly getting the first available vet and if you like that provider, there’s no way to assign them to your other animals. You also cannot see multiple pets in one visit or create back-to-back appointment slots or even two appointments on different days. you must complete one visit before being allowed to create another. This is super limiting. I’m a healthcare worker myself and continuity of care for families is essential. you’re failing in this.

The concept is ideal especially for an anxious pet, but my experience has been horrible. My first virtual vet appointment we were stood up. I was waiting on the zoom link for about 10 minutes and when I messaged the vet I was basically told, sorry but I was double booked. I contemplated taking my dog to his traditional vet, but since I’ve paid for Dutch for a year I decided to try it once more. The second appointment the vet was present. She was kind and knowledgeable. She prescribed my dog a medication for his severe itching issue. I ordered it the same day. It’s 8 days later and I still have not received the medication and my poor pup has been suffering. This entire process from the first unsuccessful vet appointment to today has been two weeks. I would have been better off taking my pup to his vet-which I might have to end up doing anyway if the medication does not arrive tomorrow. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME with this service.

I want to focus on the fact that Dutch is using very deceptive business practices. First they only give you two options to purchase the medication. Buy all of the refill capacity at once instead of simply one fill or sign up for a monthly auto ship. There is no option for a one time purchase. That is something new they have added and is very deceptive and misleading and just wrong. In addition they give you the option for free shipping and advise you that it will take upwards of three weeks for you to receive your medication. Then they give you two options for faster delivery. A $15 added delivery charge will get you your order within 10 days and an added $30 delivery charge will get you your pets meds within 5 days. I selected the free shipping option and low and behold the item still shipped next day and I received the order in less than 5 days. SO, they most likely know you will get your order within 5 days but will attempt to bilk you for another $15-$30 taking advantage of pet owners in crisis. Shame on you dutch.

This is a ripoff. You're better off saving your money to go to a real veterinarian in person. They charge way too much for medication.

It's a great concept. Clunky execution. The vets are stellar. I've had numerous issues with orders from their pharmacy. Repeated double billing. Billing errors. And needed to contact their customer services a handful of times (at minimum) for resolution. Customer service ranged from helpful & courteous to very dismissive. I really wish they could get it together. It's a great concept. This is my second year with a membership because I've been pulling for their improvement but I'm not sure if I will remain if I don't see changes. I'm still waiting for a response to a question about something that should have been resolved 24 hours ago. I'm adding a bit more here because since I didn't receive a response from customer service, I opted to set up a secondary follow up visit to try to get an answer. As soon as I booked it, I got a reply on their site to my first question so I immediately cancelled the follow up and was subsequently charged $25 for a same day cancellation. I could've just logged in and wasted the vet's time. I will not be doing that again. I can only imagine if it were more urgent how upset I would be. I'm cancelling my account. So... many... bad experiences with dealing with the actual site. The vets are great.
