Signed up thinking that I would be able to talk to a vet about my cat. Turned out they didn’t have any availability for 3 weeks and there was no one available to talk to!!! $97 I could have used at the vet but I have to wait for a refund now. This is a total scam saying you get same day help. Don’t mess with someone whose fur baby is sick!!!!!!!

terrible service, DO NOT SUBSCRIBE
This was a terrible service. I wish I read the reviews before I looked into paying for this. I believe that I was charged twice, but regardless of being charged twice, there is no communication, all automated messages. The vet was not remotely helpful in the consultation. I have been waiting for a prescription; that's the main reason I even did this, to be efficient, fast, and efficient. There is no follow-through, there is little communication, and terrible communication. This is a waste of a service. I have to go to a vet now in person, so this has all been a waste of time and money.

Mislead my this company’s services and requesting refund
My dog had been experiencing vomiting and digestion issues the past few days. When I filled out my information on the Dutch website they CLEARLY stated they could help treat my pets symptoms and to schedule an appointment with a vet. I did that and once again they said they could help find what’s wrong with her during the appointment. Then the vet messaged me saying I need to cancel my appointment and they can’t help her and to take her to a in person vet. So why did they tell me twice they could help, let me pay and now they go back on their word.
I’m requesting a full refund as I’m upset I was mislead about the services Dutch could provide, they got me to sign up, pay their fees. When I no longer need their services

BEWARE this company is shady....
I placed a prescription order for my cat’s antibiotics and paid a total of $342, including the highest level of rush shipping, which was clearly estimated to arrive within 1–2 days. Despite this guarantee, the medication took five full days to arrive (Wednesday through Monday). During this time, my cat’s condition continued to deteriorate while we waited for her antibiotics. When trying to contact customer care, it is extremely challenging to reach a real person, and when I finally did, I was connected to a call center where representatives appeared to have little authority or ability to resolve the issue. After spending two hours on the phone and on hold, I was told that, despite Dutch’s purportedly “vast” network of veterinarians, no one was able to reissue the prescription so that I could obtain the medication locally. It also appeared that the call center may be internationally based, potentially limiting their ability to manage or reissue U.S.-based prescriptions. Ultimately, I was left with no resolution and no option other than to schedule a new veterinary appointment and start the process over entirely. Dutch’s marketing and customer-facing materials are highly misleading. The prescription transfer form claims that the pharmacy is both faster and more cost-effective than competitors; my experience proves otherwise. Furthermore, the website presents the company as Oakland, California-based without clearly disclosing that prescriptions are fulfilled and shipped from Cincinnati, Ohio—information that is directly relevant to delivery timelines. Customers relying on stated shipping estimates for time-sensitive medications are not being given accurate or transparent information. Urgent prescriptions should be clearly directed toward local fulfillment when appropriate, and customer support systems must be equipped to resolve urgent issues effectively. There is a huge gap between Dutch’s promises and its actual service capabilities. At the time of this writing, I have been working on this for over 5 hours now with no resolution, just an unwarranted charge of $25 for a (false) no-show appointment which I now have to dispute.

We appreciate you sharing your experience. We're very sorry to hear about the delayed delivery of your cat's medication and the difficulties you faced with customer support. We have refunded you your no show fee and believe our Customer Support team was able to find you a last minute same day local pharmacy pick up for the antibiotics you needed until the rest of your order could arrive. Your feedback is valuable, and we will make sure to share this feedback with all appropriate teams. Our goal is to provide the best possible care to all our pets and their pet parents. We are very sorry to hear we fell short of that promise with your most recent order.

I've been waiting two weeks for my…
I've been waiting two weeks for my dog's prescription and the first time it did not ship because there wasn't an error processing at the pharmacy and the second time which was a week later they had to cancel and I had to place a new order. The new order was placed a week ago and it says that it shipped out and was supposed to be delivered yesterday but it never even got dropped off to UPS. I'm not sure what's going on but this company has the WORST customer service. When you try calling the phone will ring for 10 minutes and you'll be lucky if you even get a hold of anyone. When you send emails they will respond back with an AI generated response without even reading the email or trying to help. Nobody at this company knows what they're doing and they will tell you anything just to get you off the phone. Trust me they do not care about anyone whether you get your prescriptions or not. It barely even do their own jobs. Even the supervisor Kyle told me that it would be delivered yesterday even after explaining to him there's no tracking information but he didn't feel like dealing with the issue or trying to resolve it so now I had to spend all day today calling to get a hold of someone to help. I have no idea what is going on with their pharmacy processing these orders but if you ever have any issues I promise it will be like pulling teeth trying to get anyone to help resolve the problem. They already got our money for the yearly subscription so they could care less about anything else. They are supposedly going to process a replacement for me but that could take another week and that's if it even ships out this time. That would be 3 weeks I've been waiting before I finally get the prescription. This is a great concept for the company but it's not very practical. Maybe they should hire better employees that will actually help instead of ignoring you or hanging up the phone on you.

Hi there, we’re really sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating this must have been for you and your cat.
Our goal is always to provide effective, convenient care, but there are times when virtual medicine has limitations. If symptoms aren’t improving or are worsening, we may recommend an in-person visit so a veterinarian can perform a more thorough physical exam and run diagnostic tests that we’re not able to conduct virtually. This helps ensure your pet gets the most accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment as quickly as possible.
That said, we’d absolutely like to look into your case further. We’ve reached out here to gather more details so we can better understand what happened and review your experience with our medical team.
We truly appreciate your feedback, and we’re sorry again for the frustration this caused. We’d like the opportunity to make this right.

It would be beneficial to be upfront…
It would be beneficial to be upfront about what your capabilities are in each state prior to taking someone’s money for a subscription. I selected my state to sign up only to find out when booking a vet visit to get prescriptions that your services are illegal in my state and the subscription is pointless. I think it’s very disappointing for a company like this to not be forthcoming with the regulations they must abide by. You know your capabilities in each state and chose to hide it until you already took money for a subscription which is absolutely abhorrent. I was told I was getting a refund on the phone but we will see how easily that plays out.
Response from Dutch VetApr 8, 2026
Thanks for your feedback.
We want to clarify that during the sign-up process, you are required to select your state before proceeding, and we provide information outlining state-specific requirements and limitations at that time. Users must review and continue through these disclosures in order to complete registration.
Our services are designed to comply with varying state regulations, and those differences are communicated during onboarding. We understand that navigating these requirements can be frustrating, but we do make this information available prior to subscription.
Regarding your refund, we see that it was addressed over the phone, and our team will process it accordingly. If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out.

Shipping for meds takes over a week…
Shipping for meds takes over a week even if you pay the additional $15 shipping charge. Appointment was only 3 minutes long for an eye infection. Total cost for the appointment was 135 and meds were juiced with fees for “pharmacy fulfillment”. You are not saving money or time by using Dutch.
Response from Dutch VetApr 8, 2026
Thanks for your feedback.
We’d like to clarify a few points about how our service works. The fee paid at sign-up is not for a single appointment, it covers unlimited vet appointments for the entire year. The only additional costs are for medications, if prescribed.
We also offer multiple shipping options for medications: free standard shipping (4–7 days), priority shipping (2–3 days), and rush shipping (1–2 days). After reviewing your account, your most recent order was placed with standard shipping and was delivered in 6 days from the order date, which falls within that timeframe.
Regarding appointment length, visits are designed to be efficient and focused, but members always have the option to ask additional questions through follow-ups or by scheduling another visit at no extra cost.
We appreciate you sharing your experience.
