Neglectful and incompetent.
If I could give 0 stars, I would. My vehicle was vandalized and the subject of an attempted theft while parked in my assigned underground parking space—directly beneath a security camera in a garage advertised as being under 24-hour video surveillance. The most shocking part? Property management later informed me the incident had occurred eight days earlier, yet no one thought to notify me. My damaged vehicle sat in the garage for over a week while management said nothing. When the Toronto Police Service requested the surveillance footage for their investigation, property management became nearly impossible to reach. My calls and emails were ignored. I was eventually told that the surveillance footage had already been sent to the investigating officer. However, two days later, I contacted the officer myself and was informed that he had not received the footage or even a response from property management. Once again, I had to follow up, and only after continued pressure was I told the footage would finally be sent. Being given conflicting information while trying to assist a police investigation was both frustrating and unacceptable. I understand there may be legal reasons why the footage couldn't be released directly to me. That isn't my issue. My issue is the complete lack of urgency, accountability, communication, and transparency throughout this entire process. What is the purpose of advertising 24-hour video surveillance if residents aren't notified when their vehicles are vandalized? Why did my vehicle sit there for eight days without anyone contacting me? Why did it take repeated follow-ups from both the investigating officer and me just to obtain a response? This experience has completely destroyed my confidence in this property's management. Residents deserve honest communication, timely responses, and cooperation when a serious crime occurs on the property. Unfortunately, my experience was the exact opposite.
