This rental company is the worst to deal with. They deal craftily with customers and my honest wish is that they fold up and cease to operate because of their deceptive practices.

I rented a car from Drivo on July 2. At that time, I presented proof of insurance. They still demanded a security deposit of a little over $200, to be refunded when the car was returned. This is illegal in NYS. Returned the car on time on July 4 with a full tank of gas. They claimed I had made a 4 inch scratch, and they would not refund my deposit until that issue was resolved. On July 15, they claimed that the damages exceeded $1150. I filed claims with both my primary insurance (GEICO) and secondary coverage with my credit card company. I also filed the NYS DMV-104 report. Drivo still has refused to refund this illegally held deposit. Based on their business practices, I have filed a complaint with the NYS Attorney General's Consumer Protection unit. They have informed me that there are additional complaints pending against this company.

Terrible experience. I was quoted an amount but in the end was charged double because of the price of insurance which was not explained to me at the time of renting. I will never rent a car with Drivo again.

SCAMMERS‼️ DO NOT BOOK‼️ these guys have you sign electronically to deposits, then put your signature on papers you did not sign‼️‼️ THATS SCARY‼️‼️ they have hidden fees allll over and you will not see them until you drop the car off back to their location.

This us an addendum to my prior review of two weeks ago. I contacted them via phone and email and got nowhere with them. They will not refund me my money of the upgrade nor the extra day charge. I am convinced they are scammers and will try everything they can to get more money out of you. They sent me a 15% discount off a next rental. Well you know what my response was?!!! I am now contacting the news and the Better Business Bureau and I am taking them to court. I honestly don’t know how they are still in business, they should be investigated. Plus, none of the people who I spoke to speak a word of English! There cars need service and I felt unsafe driving the Camry due to power steering pulling to one side.

Flight was delayed by 1 hour and my reservation was missed due to car company being closed. That's certainly not their fault, BUT they refused to allow me to pick up the car in the morning because the reservation would be cancelled after 4 hours of not picking it up (even though they were closed during those "4 hours"). I requested they simply create a new reservation then (for the same car that they obviously still had) to begin in the morning when they first opened and to be returned at the same time the original reservation was for. They said they couldn't do that because my original reservation was still in effect (even though they were closed and the vehicle obviously couldn't be picked up). And they offered no options, alternatives, or solutions. They left us high and dry over something so simple. That left me and my son at the airport to sleep overnight with no hotel vacancies anywhere in the city. Nice way to treat your customers. The term "customer SERVICE" has no meaning to Drivo. We were able to get a different reservation with AVIS. AVIS was a little more expensive but they saved our vacation. Hooray to AVIS! Boo to you Drivo!

We had a miserable experience with this company. We booked a Priceline deal where we were told that we would get one of 3 rental companies. We ended up with Drivo / Ace. Our intent was to rent a car in New York and do an “east coast road trip” going as far as Maine. We were blind sided at the rental counter by their boundary restrictions, which Maine was outside of. We had no choice but to have to accept the up charges for driving there. The counter agent struggled to show us where this “policy” was disclosed in the Priceline listing - having to dive many layers into the fine print. The listing itself was advertised as “unlimited” miles, with no clear mention of a boundary restriction such that any reasonable person would see at the time of booking. Once we entered Maine, we received harassing text messages threatening to report the vehicle stolen, despite us disclosing that we were going to Maine at the rental counter. These texts were accompanied by emails, serving as a stressful disruption to our vacation. To add insult to injury - the counter agent tried to upsell us on their insurance, insisting that my State Farm policy did not have collision coverage 🤷‍♂️. I had to waste time logging into my policy website and pulling up the declaration page while waiting 20 minutes for the agents to “review” it. This was either incompetence or an attempt to bully us into another up charge, either way, unacceptable. We will never use this company again, and will be disputing any up charges made to our credit card for the boundary restrictions.
