Needed more explanation of test results… felt it was rushed

Better Nights has not heard from you about a new order. How do I get this information along with a new order completed so I can get a new Cpap machine as mine has met its life expectancy pls help. Karen Brousseau

Normally experience is great. Most recent appointment determined that we need to try a different full face mask. It doesn’t harm the eyes so much and a prescription for the new mask was promised with a request to follow up if we didn’t hear about the prescription soon so it is six days later and cannot contact the Sleep doctor effectively

The nurse practitioner was great. She seems very knowledgeable about the study and results. The billing process is a pain. Their site says they accept UHC and I filed out my info and it said it would be covered, but now they're sending me full cash pay invoices. Also, all of their communication goes to spam including text messages about appointments so I never got my appointment info. Frustrating experience as far as all that, but a good experience with the actual sleep study and meeting. Still waiting to hear from them about my follow up in person sleep study which kind of defeats the purpose of an at home study.

Getting the appointments is fine, the Dreem app is where I have an issue. My provider Alexandra Rogerson was supposed to submit a referral to a sleep study facility near me but never did it. I reached out on the Dreem app and never received a response.

I have struggled with sleep for all of my adult life (many of you reading this review probably have a similar experience). I've tried every sleep medicine, supplement, hack, etc. I've also tried a majority of sleep trackers on the market, and been largely disappointed at the data that is clearly wrong. (I remember I was grocery shopping at 2am one night when I couldn't sleep and I looked down at the sleep tracker I was wearing that told me I was in deep sleep at the time. Ha!). So I was excited to get 1.) a medical grade sleep study done and 2.) have this data reviewed by a doctor! Unfortunately, it was more of the same as Dreem's sleep tracker provided data that was wrong. Not slightly wrong; it said I was asleep when I was up doing chores. If Dreem's monitor can't even tell the difference between wake and sleep, I certainly don't trust it for more nuanced data like sleep architecture, sleep apnea events, etc. Perhaps most disappointing was that my sleep doctor wouldn't listen to me and/or didn't believe me when I told her that the data was wrong. And pricing seemed high for the quality of data collection tools provided (a disposable pulse oximeter and an adhesive chest sensor). Advertised as a $199 sleep study, it ends up being $500 after the required virtual visits before and after the study. Summary? As the title says: low quality data + expensive = not worth it.

Leaving my original 5 star review below for posterity, I unfortunately need to significantly lower my overall score because the actual sleep study results were very disappointing. I’ve done multiple sleep studies in the past at 3 different sleep labs. The idea of doing one at home wearing nothing more than what was basically a smart watch sounded too good to be true, and that’s what it turned out to be. The results were not just a little out of sync with the professional lab results, they were completely and totally off the wall. According to their results, I had fewer than 20% of the interruptions that I have had in even my best laboratory session (and fewer than 5% of what I have had at my worst). That’s just impossible. And there were other oddities, like it said that I spent 100% of the night on my right side, when I fall asleep and wake up on my left side every day (and toss and turn a lot through the night). My basic takeaway is that these tools are just not ready yet. That’s not necessarily Dreem’s fault, and the people I’ve interacted with have all been lovely, but I have no confidence in the data or diagnosis. Will be going in for a real sleep study. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I have been impressed by the ease of the process and the knowledge of the individuals I’ve interacted with. I admit being skeptical of a telehealth approach to a sleep study beforehand but I’m feeling very good about my choice now.
