Do not trust what they say about insurance covering
They sent my cost estimate for the appointment I had WHILE I was in the appointment saying that they were NOT in network even though when I booked the appointment they stated very clearly that they WERE in network. If you don’t have an extra 600$-700$ DO NOT trust that they actually take your insurance. Because they will tell you after your appointment that they don’t and STILL mail you the study supplies and charge you for them even if you already canceled your appointments and stated you did not want to do the sleep study.

That sounds incredibly frustrating, and we’re sorry you experienced it that way. Insurance coverage can be confusing, and we clearly didn’t set the right expectations for you. No one should feel surprised by costs or unsure about next steps. Our team will reach out to you directly to go over what happened and see how we can help.

The vendor you sent me to provide the…
The vendor you sent me to provide the CPAP as been dragging their feet for three weeks now. I’m very disappointed. I still need to find someone to provide me with the supplies to keep my sleep apnea going.
Response from Dreem Health Sleep ClinicDec 8, 2025
Hi Kirk, thank you for sharing this. Delays like the one you experienced are incredibly frustrating, especially when you’re waiting on something as important as CPAP supplies. In some states, these orders are handled by external DME partners, so their timelines aren’t always something we can control, but we never want you to feel unsupported along the way. We’ll make sure this feedback is passed along to the vendor.

Hidden costs and bad product
I was under the impression all the visits would be a set 145, but my second visit cost 235. The test kit they sent claimed I slept 7 hrs staight where I may have slept 2, and that my blood oxygen level got as low as 60%. You should be going to the hospital at 80%, I would be dead if it got that low. They were supposed to get me an appointment with a local sleep study clinic but never did. Buyer beware.

JM, we hear how frustrating this must have been. Clear pricing, accurate results, and timely follow-up are essential, and it sounds like we fell short for you. If you’re open to it, our team would really like to go through this with you at [email protected].

Lack of Transparency, Timeliness, Honesty, and Accountability
I sought treatment with Dreem Health for about three months, but ended my relationship with them after repeated issues related to billing and communication with their team. During my time as a patient, Dreem:
- Billed me incorrectly (and dramatically more than appropriate, as per my insurance), without proactively correcting the issue.
- Failed to clearly communicate their billing practices.
- Refused to clarify their billing practices in writing.
- Failed to timely respond to billing questions.
- Failed to respond to billing questions altogether upon request for additional information, in writing.
- Refused to allow me to speak synchronously to someone in their billing department.
- Failed to timely provide my personal medical records upon written request.
- Continued to bill my insurance provider after I had discontinued treatment (the discontinuation was confirmed in writing by Dreem).
Ironically, Dreem is proactive in claiming they’re owed money. They recently sent a particularly aggressive message to me: “To avoid escalation, please settle your balance immediately.” Notably, the 45-day-old bill did not list a due date and was the subject of outstanding questions with their billing department.
In all, I’ve spent 3 - 4 hours (and many more hours of stress and worry) dealing with Dreem—with no end in sight given their enduring communications and internal logistical challenges.
I would personally never again trust Dreem with anything as important as medical treatment or advice—given their course of conduct clearly establishes a lack of transparency, timeliness, rigor, and honesty in their billing and communications.
Many of their recent 5-star reviews on this platform strike me as highly suspicious, and most likely fake. My experience aligns with many of the 1-star reviews here complaining of billing policies and practices lacking in transparency.

We're really sorry to hear about your experience with billing and communication. What you've described sounds incredibly frustrating, and we clearly didn't handle things the way we should have. Harassing emails and outrageous cost!
They kept changing my appointments and the cost was outrageous. They still keep sending me threatening emails on my $100 remaining balance. Would not recommend this company.

these guys are TERRIBLE, they will try to steal your $
They are weasels and will try to get you to pay for things you already paid. If you do not dispute appointments that they schdule without your permission you will be charged. No one knows what is going on, they don't have their billing process in order, and if I hadn't caught them trying to steal my money, I would be out an additional $750 so far. They're not done trying yet, I guarantee it.

Not upfront about cost
They do not mention any cost and after the intial consultation they send you a bill. Very fraudulent way of handling business, definitely do not recommend this website.
Response from Dreem Health Sleep ClinicAug 8, 2025
Hi Reddy,
You're absolutely right, we should always be upfront about costs before any consultation. We typically send cost estimates when consultations are booked at least 2 days in advance, but if that didn't happen in your case, we're truly sorry.
Please reach out to our team at [email protected] so we can make this right.
Best regards,
Dreem Health Team

Not convenient or easy at all!
I did not have a good experience with this provider! I thought it would be more convenient to work with a sleep provider online. Dreem Health claims they will be more convenient and help you order your CPAP supplies or whatever you need after a quick consultation. The consultation went fine, but then more than a week later a “care coordinator” gets on the app and starts requesting documentation that was not easy for me to track down. They wanted my original sleep study, which I got and uploaded. Then they say they need it with a doctor’s signature and wanted it uploaded with the study all in one document. Then you think you’re done, but a few days later they say they need the medical chart notes that led to the sleep study referral etc. All the while I thought they had ordered my supplies when thy had not. They are suppose to be sleep doctors and specialists but clearly they are not. Otherwise they would not need to rely completely on previous provider information just to start helping you. What was the point of the consultation? Why were they not upfront about what they needed? So frustrating!! I wanted to do this online because my other sleep specialist was 100 miles from my home. I was hoping to save time and money but this service was a complete waste of my time. I ended up having to go back to my other provider which was not ideal but better than dealing with these jokers.
Response from Dreem Health Sleep ClinicAug 8, 2025
Hi Brady,
We're sorry about this, that sounds incredibly frustrating. You're right, we should have told you upfront exactly what we needed instead of asking for more documents every few days.
That's not how we want anyone to spend their time, and we clearly dropped the ball on communication. We'll make sure this doesn't happen again.
Thanks for the feedback.
Best regards,
Dreem Health Team
